About the job

Google is known for our innovative technologies, products and services — and for the people behind them. The Google Recruiting team focuses on providing an amazing experience to past, present and future Googlers. As a Programs Specialist, you will enthusiastically represent the Google brand and build our talent pipeline. Whether it’s making our recruiting systems more efficient, planning for our growth, building relationships on college campuses or cultivating the next generation of computer scientists, you will have a keen understanding on the recruiting needs of Google and the broader hiring landscape. You'll be focused on cultivating outstanding candidates for Google's long-term hiring needs, and you are the glue that ties together a cross-functional and international group of recruiting teams.

In this role, you will manage the hiring assessment process for Asia Pacific (APAC) Recruiting by analyzing data to identify potential applicants and uncover performance trends. You will use investigative expertise to enhance the effectiveness and fairness of Google’s assessment methods and present clear and compelling insights to stakeholders, guiding talent acquisition strategies in the APAC region. You will develop and maintain impactful, user-friendly dashboards that provide real-time visibility into assessment performance and key metrics and leverage automation tools to streamline data collection and reporting, ensuring an efficient and high-quality evaluation process.

Great just isn't good enough for our People Operations team (known elsewhere as "Human Resources"). We bring the world's most innovative people to Google and provide the programs that help them thrive. Whether recruiting the next Googler, refining our core programs, developing talent, or simply looking for ways to inject some more fun into the lives of our Googlers, we bring a data-driven approach that is reinventing the human resources field. You’ll play an essential role advancing a more diverse, accessible, equitable, and inclusive Google through our hiring, promotion, retention, and inclusion practices.

Responsibilities
  • Develop strategic plans for Google Offices (GOC) recruiting and talent engagement across APAC, defining selection criteria and partnering to design and execute challenges. Work with leaders and cross-functional stakeholders to establish clear objectives, priorities, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Resolve project related technical issues, manage self-service configurations, and collaborate with Engineering to implement solutions.
  • Manage vendor management tasks, including evaluating performance, ensuring Service Level Agreement (SLA) adherence, partnering, pricing, administering purchase orders, and conducting post-mortem reviews.
  • Evaluate and monitor the coding platform for bugs, address issues with relevant teams or vendors, and assess coding questions for accuracy and difficulty, engaging with engineers as necessary.
  • Drive design improvements with external vendors, ensure delivery, administer tests, and resolve technical problems efficiently while demonstrating strong technical proficiency and independent work capability.
