Summary:

In this role, you will manage complex accounting, regulations, auditing, identifying and compliance reporting. You will also review and incorporate work products of team members to provide recommendations to stakeholders.

Responsibilities:

  • Read and understand accounting-related clauses in our custom contracts as well as other various legally executed documents.

  • Follow company revenue recognition & accounting policies.

  • Manage custom contract data in an ERP system to allow for billing and revenue recognition processing, including but not limited to project system setup and maintenance of billing and revenue amortization schedules.

  • Monthly review of ledger and accounts for compliance with accounting standards with focus on contract accounting.

  • Monthly interactions with various internal departments, including but not limited to Billing, Collections, Operations, Finance and Business Units.

  • Assure timely and accurate reporting of all financial transactions.

  • Participate and/or lead special projects (ex: study and recommend accounting methods, procedures; ad-hoc reporting requests; department goals).

  • Follow internal controls to ensure integrity of the financial statements.

  • Explain Fluctuations of financial statements to include income statements, balance sheets and budget forecasts. 

Qualifications:

  • Relevant degree in accounting preferred.

  • 5 or more years of relevant experience in accounting with the ability to interpret contracts, allocate revenue streams and understand accounting literature is required.

  • CPA Certified preferred.

  • Knowledge and use of ASC 606 Revenue Recognition compliance and standards.

  • Proficient/Strong Excel skills required.

  • Experience working in a public accounting firm and/or in public health is a plus.

  • Experience with Workday or other Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems is a plus.

  • Significant understanding of revenue accrual accounting.

Estimated Hiring Range:

At Vizient, we consider skills, experience, and organizational needs in our compensation approach. Geographic factors may adjust the range estimate and hires typically fall below the top range. Compensation decisions are tailored to individual circumstances. The current salary range for this role is $77,400.00 to $127,600.00.

This position is also incentive eligible.
