The Role / Responsibilities:

This role will report to the Associate Managing Director responsible for Moody’s Financial Institutions ratings and will be based in Singapore.

The Analyst's key responsibilities include:

  • Overseeing the credit ratings for a diverse portfolio of ASEAN financial institutions, which encompasses both banks and non-bank financial entities.
  • Handling all facets of the ratings process, ensuring timely ratings actions and publication of insightful, high-quality research.
  • Communicating views to internal and external stakeholders.
  • Engaging with issuers, intermediaries, and investors through various platforms, such as conferences and investor outreach, to enhance Moody's presence in the market.

Candidate Profile:
The ideal candidate will be ambitious, self-driven, and a collaborative team member. Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.

Qualifications
  • Proven experience in an analytical, research, or risk management role within a reputable financial institution, publishing entity, or multi-lateral financial institution.
  • Strong analytical abilities and presentation skills.
  • Strong understanding of ASEAN financial institutions, their regulatory environment and evolving trends such as digitalization and ESG.
  • Excellent oral communication skills.
  • Track record of impactful written communication for either an internal or external readership.
  • Fluency in English is mandatory; proficiency in an additional ASEAN language is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with others and train junior colleagues.
