We have an exciting remote opportunity for a Senior Contracts Manager to join our team!  

What You Will Do:
 

Pratt & Whitney’s Military Engines Contract Management Organization (MECMO) is actively seeking a highly motivated, organized and experienced contracting professional to join our department working in a hands-on, fast-paced and collaborative environment. This position is the primary focal for external and internal customers regarding contract issues and interpretation of contract requirements; therefore, strong written and verbal communication skills are necessary.  The ability to work independently and work with a team in a collaborative manner is also necessary.

 The Senior Contracts Manager will partner with an integrated program team to:

  • Draft, negotiate, interpret, and manage complex contracts for the Military Engines Organization from proposal development through contract closeout
  • Proactively manage contracts by issue-spotting, documenting changes and negotiating contract modifications resulting from identified changes
  • Provide terms and conditions review
  • Offer advice and support on complex and/or challenging contractual matters to mitigate contractual and programmatic risk
  • Professionally represent P&W in contractual transactions while working closely with ME customers to develop business relationships
  • Support MECMO in developing strategies to improve current processes, policies, and standards for ME contract management

Qualifications You Must Have:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of experience in government contracting; OR an Advanced degree and 7+ years of experience in government contracting
  • US Citizenship is required, due to government contracts, programs and projects

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics and Microsoft Excel
  • Juris Doctorate (JD) strongly preferred
  • Experience in U.S. Government contracting, including working knowledge of FAR and DFARS and various types of government contracting vehicles
  • Experience with Microsoft Word (including track changes, comment and other editing features) and Microsoft Outlook
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic work environment
  • Comfortable leading, motivating and influencing cross-functional teams
  • Advanced knowledge of Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) and Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS)

Remote: Employees who are working in Remote roles will work primarily offsite (from home).

Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
