Title: Asst Dir-DevOps Engineer
Location: 7 World Trade Center, 250 Greenwich Street, New York, NY 10007 (Principal place of business - telecommuting permitted)
Duties: Conduct automation and processes required to deploy, manage, configure, scale, and monitor internal, product, and cloud-based applications. Coordinate with development teams to facilitate experimentation along with functional and load-testing of applications. Create and manage build and deploy workflow processes related to product development and testing. Manage and support infrastructure and development applications including continuous integration, source code management, and hosted applications. Actively participate in high level team activities such as suggesting architecture improvements, recommending process improvements, and conducting tool evaluations. Work collaboratively with team members to ensure successful delivery and implementation of assigned tasks and liaison with next level management. Responsible for extending and maintaining scripts to automate the build and deployment processes in the Engineering development cycle. Liaison between the Architecture, Engineering, and Operations team to assure environment provisioning consistent through the development and production cycle. Domestic and international travel required approximately 25% of the time. Destination and frequency impossible to predict. Telecommuting Permitted (100% telecommuting position. Will consider applicants resident in the continental U.S.).
Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Engineering, or a closely related technical field plus at least two (2) years of experience as a Software Engineer, Data Analyst, or in a related position analyzing complex technical issues and processes to identify and understand requirements and develop solutions. Must have experience with the following: applying knowledge of cloud engineering, cloud and network security best practices, and software development life cycle (SDLC), including Agile or Kanban Development Methodology; creating and usage of APIs for testing; deploying and managing production environments in Amazon AWS or Azure; performing scripting and automation using Shell, Groovy, Python, or PowerShell; working with database technologies and PSQL; working with source control management, including Github, and application security scanning tools, and CI/CD processes using Jenkins; testing automation using Selenium or SpecFlow; and using programming languages, including Python or C#. For US-based roles only: the anticipated hiring base salary range for this position is $151,819 to $184,950, depending on factors such as experience, education, level, skills, and location. This range is based on a full-time position. In addition to base salary, this role is eligible for incentive compensation.
