JOB HIGHLIGHT
You’re a promoter and inspirational leader who will build and manage a team, initiate strategic partnerships, and raise funds through charity: water’s Experience Lab. You’ll serve as the primary spokesperson for the space, as well as inspire guests to donate. You’ll help build the promotional strategy, find creative ways to get people into the space, and work with other teams within charity: water to create and curate a memorable, dynamic and share-worthy experience for visitors.
 
JOB SUMMARY
The Experience Lab Director reports to the VP of Marketing & Growth and is responsible for the day-to-day operations of The Experience Lab and its business outcomes. This includes the staffing and management of the core team, serving as the main host and guide for visitors and groups, and overseeing special events and activities. You’ll ensure that all visitors have a first-class experience that connects them more deeply to charity: water and our work and inspires them to join us. You will provide vision for the space overall and build strategic partnerships that allow for more visitors to and more revenue from The Experience Lab. You must be a dynamic individual who can learn, teach, advocate, and build. Your success will be measured through newly acquired partnerships, overall revenue and donations generated from the space, and how many people experience it.
 
YOU’LL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR…
●      Being a front-facing brand ambassador and sales leader to help spark meaningful long-term partnerships that result in new revenue, educating the public, and brand lift
●      Building promotions and strategic partnerships strategies that help drive traffic into the space
●      Prospecting and pitching new strategic partnerships
Contributing towards the annual revenue goals for the Experience Lab both in direct funding and gift-in-kind donations
●      Representing the organization at various virtual and in-person networking, speaking, and thought-leadership events to bring new brand partners into the funnel and identify fruitful partnership opportunities
●      Creating a high-performing team to create an incredibly welcoming and exciting environment and experience for all visitors
●      Overseeing the execution of timed experience and narrative flow for guests and creating ongoing ideas for improvement
●      Identifying and closing new inbound opportunities that have the potential to be developed into long-term official and flagship-level brand partners
●      Serving as a thought partner to leaders across the organization in working towards our 5-year organizational goals, including blue sky brainstorming and building operational efficiencies that will help our team scale for growth
●      Having a finger on the pulse of industry, fundraising and innovative marketing trends and key players, especially in the Nashville area
 
YOU MUST HAVE…
●      Minimum of 10+ years of new business cultivation or sales experience and a proven track record of at least $1M in annual revenue generation
●      5+ years experience in the hospitality, sales, fundraising, or marketing industries
●      Outstanding communication and storytelling skills, articulate and persuasive, with well-honed relationship-building skills
●      Love of hospitality
●      An incredible passion for our mission that invigorates and excites everyone with whom you share it with
 
IT’S AN ADDED PLUS IF YOU HAVE…
●      Proven expertise within a medium/large non-profit organization or a growing tech-savvy business
●      A network of strong corporate relationships with marketing and CSR leaders
●      Volunteer management experience
●      Experience effectively using Salesforce as a CRM tool

You take inspiration from luxury thinking from brands such as the Four Seasons, Ritz Carlton, and the best restaurants in the world. You create systems to create continuity post-visit. You’re constantly testing and improving these systems, to optimize them for results, and guest experience.
