Hi there!

Zapier’s mission is to make automation work for everyone. Zapier UX Reseachers are critical to this effort: we seek to accelerate learning, drive action, and highlight gaps in our strategy helping Zapier make decisions informed by customer insights.

As the Senior Manager of UX Research, you will collaborate with cross-functional leaders to shape product decisions across Zapier’s platform. You’ll lead a team of UX Researchers to plan, execute, and deliver research insights, enabling evidence-based decisions.

You will play a foundational role in continuing to develop UXR at Zapier by mentoring other researchers, driving improvements in research process, working on initiatives for improved collaboration across our Insights practices, and making customer connection easy.

About You
  • You’re an experienced UX Research Manager. You’ve led and mentored a team of UX Researchers before in a SaaS / B2B setting. You have a strong understanding of both generative and evaluative research methods. You know when you use one method over another. You know how to collaborate with your cross-functional peers, and you have a strong track record of driving action from insights.

  • You consider yourself a strategist. You are a strong strategist who focuses on aligning business goals with user needs. You love connecting the dots and can seamlessly step into other roles like product management and product design to think holistically about the entire experience.

  • You’re a strong advocate for users. You keep user problems and needs top-of-mind, helping other leaders focus on the user perspective through their decision-making process. You understand how to help teams move fast, while keeping the customer at the forefront of our work.

  • You’re motivated by results. At Zapier, we value outcomes over outputs. You’re capable of aligning success metrics to company goals, and you lead the way in monitoring those metrics, extracting and sharing insights, and evolving our approach to increase business impact.

  • You love collaboration and feedback. You understand that success in this role won’t happen in a vacuum or secret. You believe in sharing work early, openly, and often. You enjoy teaming up with cross-functional leaders to help multiply the value of research insights.

Things You’ll Do
  • Manage a team of UXRs, ensuring that they have clear goals and providing support through their research projects.

  • Advocate for your team and play an active role in their professional growth.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Design, Product Management, Engineering, Data, and Marketing to influence strategic thinking and planning.

  • Influence stakeholders, advocating for critical research/insights to be adopted.

  • Amplify research from UXRs by socializing insights across all of Zapier’s key bets.

  • Make customer connection easy for all members of our Product teams.

Compensation Range: $202.5K - $303.7K
