Job Details

Minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
  • 6 years of experience with network routing protocols, design and troubleshooting, with network equipment providers.
  • Experience in one or more programming languages such as C++, Go, or Python.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Experience with cloud technologies (e.g., Google Cloud Platform).
  • Experience in managing Software Engineer teams.
  • Experience in working with distributed systems and network infrastructure.
  • Experience in managing high growth production workloads or production services at scale.
  • Ability to collaborate with customers and influence partners.
  • Excellent communication, people management, problem-solving, and investigative skills.

Responsibilities
  • Build network specific expertise in the team and serve as an expert providing consultation to other engineering and support teams working in cloud networking areas.
  • Provide technical leadership on key projects helping in onboarding customers.
  • Scale systems sustainably through mechanisms such as automation, evolve systems by pushing for changes that improve reliability and velocity.
  • Maintain services once they are live by measuring and monitoring availability, latency and overall system health. Practice sustainable incident response and blameless postmortems.
  • Work with other engineers to troubleshoot and resolve network issues.
