Minimum qualifications:
  • Security management certification (ASIS PSP, CPP).
  • 7 years of experience in corporate event security management.
  • Ability to communicate in in English and Spanish or Portuguese fluently to engage with local stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:
  • Certification in Project management (e.g., PMP).
  • Experience researching, gathering, and analyzing structured program data and trends.
  • Experience managing ambiguity, achieving results in a fast-paced environment, and continually adapting to changing business needs.

The Americas Event Security Operations (ESO) team's mission is to protect, sustain, and enable Google's ability to grow. In this role, you will focus on safety, security, and privacy of our event stakeholders and cross-functional security partners while ensuring Google/Alphabet's events are secured and experience goals are achieved. You will participate, influence, and lead within cross-functional teams, and be solution and action driven. You will focus on how to grow, scale, and optimize event security efforts in alignment with greater ESO strategic initiatives. You will lead with inclusion and can provide service excellence that is above and beyond needs and expectations.

From keeping Googlers safe and secure to managing disruptive events, the ability to anticipate, deter, detect, and act are the pillars of Google’s Global Security and Resilience Services (GSRS) team. As a member of GSRS you will help develop a culture where safety, security and resiliency are integrated into every facet of Google, including the creative process. You will help us continually identify, evaluate and monitor enterprise risks that could affect business activities and provide business leaders the information they need to make critical decisions. You'll collaborate with cross-functional teams to create innovative strategies and develop programs that drive sustainable effectiveness.

Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate security operations at complex and highly cross-functional events.
  • Use of appropriate internal and external resources to ensure the safety and security of event attendees, Google physical spaces and proprietary information.
  • Deliver security briefs to executive leadership and stakeholders on event security operations and incident management plans.
  • Manage projects involving multiple stakeholders, tight timelines, critical organizational implications, and changing circumstances.
  • Liaise with law enforcement, private sector security companies, and third-party event vendors.
