- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience in program or project management.
- 5 years of experience with technical teams responsible for project management, engineering, and construction of data center or mission critical facilities.
- 5 years of experience with electrical, mechanical, controls, security monitoring, fire safety, networking/fiber, server equipment, systems, and infrastructure.
Preferred qualifications:
- 8 years of experience with data center equipment/environments, including electrical switchgear, generators, chillers, cooling towers, air handling units, controls, security monitoring systems and fire safety systems, with an understanding of start up/commissioning processes.
- 5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects.
- Experience managing vendor relationships.
- Experience in requirements gathering, resource organization, task prioritization, scheduling and achieving objectives within set goals.
- Knowledge of large-scale facility electrical, mechanical systems and safety management best practices.
- Understanding of the design and construction industry, including fast track design build processes, associated documents and contracts.

As a Program Manager at Google, you’ll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. In this role, you have experience with data center design, development, construction and commissioning projects. You will provide management of large-scale data centers, computer farms, networking, Alternating Current (AC) and Direct Current (DC) power distribution/conversion, and cooling methods at multiple scales. You will be coordinating with multiple partner teams, while managing changes and maintaining a focus on keeping the project on schedule and budget.
You will have experience managing large scale technical projects in a rapidly changing industry, ability to thrive in ambiguity and demonstrated problem-solving leadership with limited oversight.

- Manage data center projects from inception through to completion.
- Support special research and development experiments, renovations, and upgrades of existing facility.
