Sonos is looking for a visionary leader with a balance of deep sense of collaboration & communication, with an exceptional eye for design details, quality, and a desire to lead our design team and shape the visual identity of our brand. As Creative Director, you’ll be responsible for driving the creative strategy, ensuring consistency across all visual touchpoints and leading the creation of compelling, high-quality content that resonates with our target audiences. 

What You’ll Do

  • Develop and implement a Sonos visual brand identity that aligns with the company’s brand and product strategy  

  • Lead the creative team in conceptualizing and executing innovative design solutions across all channels including product design, packaging, advertising, digital media, in-store experiences, etc. 

  • Oversee the creation of impactful marketing campaigns that tell our brand story and highlight the unique value of our products, collaborate with Global Brand Marketing team to ensure alignment 

  • Stay ahead of design and consumer trends, integrating fresh ideas and innovative approaches into our creative process 

  • Work closely with product development, engineering, marketing and sales to ensure that the creative vision is integrated into every aspect of our product and customer experience 

  • Manage relationships with external agencies, photographers, videographers and other creative partners, ensure that all work produced meets our quality standard and brand guidelines 

  • Establish metrics to evaluate the success of creative initiatives, using data to inform and refine strategies 

  • Lead and develop a dynamic team of marketing professionals

  • Oversee the creative budget, ensuring effective allocation of resources

What You’ll Need

Basic Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience in a creative leadership role, preferably within a premium consumer product company 

  • A strong portfolio showcasing a range of high-quality, innovative work across multiple platforms 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Strategic thinking, ability to translate brand strategy and business objectives into compelling creative concepts 

  • Experience hiring, developing and managing high-performing, diverse, inclusive and globally distributed teams

  • Extensive experience managing and collaborating cross functionally to drive alignment and impact across an organization

  • Proficiency in design software and an understanding of the latest design and digital content trends 

  • Ability to analyze data and use insights to drive decision-making

  • Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Experience with consumer electronics, consumer goods or technology products is a plus

At Sonos we consider a wide range of factors when determining compensation, which may lead  individual compensation to vary depending on job related qualifications, skills, and experience.  All full time employees are eligible for merit increases, discretionary bonuses, and equity.  Our job postings may span more than one career level and the base pay range may be modified in the future based on changing market conditions. The starting base pay for this role for all US candidates is between:

$183,000 and $203,300

Please note that compensation details listed in US job postings reflect the base salary only, and do not include bonus, equity, or benefits.
