Job Description

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Intern IAM Cybersecurity Analyst to join our Identify and Access Management (IAM) Process and Application Access Governance Team. The successful candidate will assist in the application onboarding process to IAM governance and help enforce IAM controls, ensuring the security and integrity of the identity and access management systems while protecting access to the organization’s applications.

Responsibilities:

  • Knowledge of automated systems, with skills to monitor, evaluate, troubleshoot and resolve issues in these systems.
  • Assist in the onboarding of applications to the IAM governance framework. 
  • Work with application owners to understand their access requirements and integrate them into IAM systems.
  • Support the enforcement of IAM controls including but are not limited to user provisioning, user de-provisioning, user access revalidation, transfer User revocation, rogue and orphan access monitoring and remediation to maintain security and compliance.
  • Collaborate with the IAM team to review and analyze user access requests.
  • Help in conducting periodic IAM control assessment to identify IAM control gaps and remediate them with the objective to reduce the respective IAM risks, enhance the security posture and ensure compliance with IAM policies.
  • Participate in the development and maintenance of IAM documentation, including policies, procedures, and guidelines.
  • Assist with troubleshooting and resolving IAM-related issues.
  • Support the implementation and enhancement of IAM tools and technologies.
  • Stay updated with the latest trends and best practices in IAM and cybersecurity.

Qualifications
  • Currently pursuing a degree in Cybersecurity, Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field and graduating in 2026.
  • Cyber security or risk coursework
  • Advanced Data analysis skills
  • Intermediate skills in programming and scripting (Python, PowerShell)
  • Interest in GenAI, ideally supported by coursework in prompt engineering.
  • Strong understanding of IAM risks, principles & practices, and controls
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and integrity

Preferred Qualifications 

  • IT Audit certifications or other audit related certifications (e.g., CISA, CFE, etc.).
  • Technical certifications or other information security certifications (e.g., CISSP, CEH, CISM, etc.).
  • Strong operating systems and networking security skills
  • Familiarity with IAM tools and technologies
  • Experience in application and entitlement schema analysis, data and business process analysis, requirement gathering and documentation.
