ABOUT YOUR ROLE:
To put into practice EHS activities in compliance with local regulations, customers as well as Avery Dennison corporate policies. The incumbent will assist management in Audit from internal/external parties and aid in achievement of all EHS performance objectives. The incumbent will effectively coordinate shift/team safety & environmental activities, programs and processes in a manner consistent with role expectations and ensure regular adherence to standards while promoting a safe, clean and productive workplace. This role is not limited in factory but in MSEA region.
YOUR RESPONSIBILITIES WILL INCLUDE:
- Implement Company EHS programs and develops facility specific procedures that ensure compliance with regulatory and Company requirements.
- Leading/ supporting to implement requirements, programs, Audits from customers regarding Health, Safety and Environment.
- Assist EHS Manager to develop and maintain EHS system.
- Maintain fire alarm and fire fighting system, as well as ERT are ready at all time.
- Participate in development of EHS program components: operational procedure, work instructions, training material, standards, etc.
- Integrate Company and facility level EHS management systems to maintain compliance, environmental protection and safe operating conditions.
- Compile process safety information for each covered process and keep readily accessible to process employees and management as well as updated on an annual basis.
- Use a structured processes score card to measure and communicate safety/environmental performance with both leading results and indicators.
- Manage CAP and coordinate with relevant departments for timely closing.
- Serve as a resource to the site manager in regards to EH&S matters and act as a daily point of contact for all EH&S issues. Assists line and staff management in understanding EHS regulations and standards, including guidance on handling Avery Dennison (AD)compliance, inspections, and citations.
- Provides advice and counsel to product and process engineers and leads to incorporate environmental health and safety principles and concepts to prevent workplace, operational hazards and environmental impacts
- Implements environmental, health and safety education and training to support regulatory and business requirements.
- Act as a resource and mentor to facility safety teams. Investigate all releases, injuries and near-misses.
- Leading project or program as assignment from EHS manager.
Qualifications
- Minimum 5 years of EHS experience with progressive work assignments.
- Advanced professional EHS certification (Nebosh IGC or equivalent certificates) is preferred.
- Experience in life safety codes: EHS rules, training, principles of occupational safety and health, and Industrial hygiene
- Good knowledge of regulatory requirements and EHS policies, procedures and programs.
- Good problem solving skills and communication
- Good at applicable Microsoft Office and function specific software.
- Good at English skills.
