Overview:

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented System Administrator with 3-5 years of experience to join our IT team. The successful candidate will provide essential system administration support, including managing RHEL (Red Hat Enterprise Linux), Ubuntu, Active Directory, Office 365, data center operations, and other typical system administration tasks. This role is crucial in ensuring the smooth operation and security of our IT infrastructure.

You will contribute to a high-performing team by constantly improving the corporate infrastructure through optimization, automation, and leveraging new tools and processes. The Systems Administration team actively contributes to multiple business-enabling projects while providing day-to-day technical support to the business.

 

Responsibilities:
  • RHEL and Ubuntu Administration: Maintain and administer RHEL and Ubuntu systems, ensuring their stability, security, and performance. Perform regular system updates, patches, and upgrades.
  • Active Directory Management: Maintain and manage Active Directory, including user account creation, group policies, and permissions.
  • Office 365 Administration: Administer Office 365 services, including user management, email configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Data Center Support: Assist in the maintenance and support of data center operations, including server management, backups, and monitoring.
  • System Monitoring and Maintenance: Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues to minimize downtime and ensure high availability.
  • Security Compliance: Ensure compliance with organizational security policies and procedures, including patch management and vulnerability assessments.
  • Software and Hardware Installation: Install and configure software and hardware, including operating systems and applications.
  • Documentation: Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of system configurations, processes, and procedures.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with other IT team members to support various IT projects and initiatives.
Qualifications:
  • Experience: 3-5 years of experience as a System Administrator.
  • Technical Skills:
    • RHEL and Ubuntu Administration:
      • Strong proficiency in RHEL and Ubuntu server administration, including installation, configuration, and maintenance.
      • Experience with package management tools such as YUM, DNF, and APT.
      • Proficient in system monitoring and performance tuning for both RHEL and Ubuntu environments.
      • Experience with managing network services including DNS, DHCP, and NFS.
      • Knowledge of security best practices for RHEL and Ubuntu, including SELinux and AppArmor configuration.
      • Familiarity with automation tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet for configuration management.
      • Hands-on experience with virtualized environments (e.g., KVM, VMware) and cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure).
      • Experience with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
    • Active Directory and Office 365 Administration:
      • Proficiency in Active Directory and Office 365 administration.
    • General System Administration:
      • Basic understanding of data center operations and server management.
      • Familiarity with troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
      • Strong knowledge of system and network security practices.
      • Proficiency in shell scripting and automation tools.
  • Soft Skills:
    • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Detail-oriented with a focus on accuracy and quality.

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Certifications such as RHCSA, RHCE, or Ubuntu Professional.
  • Experience with configuration management tools like Ansible, Puppet, or Chef.
  • Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker or Kubernetes.
