Hitachi Energy is currently looking for an Quality Team Lead for the Transformers Business to join their team in Halol, India. This team seeks a skilled and motivated individual.

Mission Statement:

Support and maintain the Quality Management System of the local unit. All aspects managed in line with Hitachi Energy Group/Division/BU guidance.

Responsibilities:

  • Support Operations Department in analyzing Quality issues and contribute to the definition of containment and corrective actions towards their resolution.

  • Assist in the implementation of effective internal controls to verify that processes will meet Quality requirements. Validate that sustainable corrective actions are correctly implemented and followed by internal departments.

  • Maintain data quality in system (S/4 Hana SAP) and act as Quality Landmark for all data related to quality organization (NCR management, follow-up, Pareto) with relative data presentation at different level of organization. Input of data on Relex System for Operating Unit.;

  • Certified internal auditor for ISO 9001:2016. (Lead Auditor preferred). Familiar with SAP – Quality Module.

  • Monitor all incoming, process & final inspection activities, Review of Rejection/Rework data, finalize the disposition.

  • Perform troubleshooting tasks for quality issues in the production.

  • FMEAs, Control Plans and Process Standards, and Inspection Standards

  • Production part approval process- Suppliers and customer

  • Training to quality as well as production people to improve the quality & reduce the rejection.

  • Root cause analysis and corrective & preventive action.

  • Customer’s complaint handling and customer returned analysis.

  • Monthly monitoring and analysis of COPQ

  • Manufacturing process audit

Your Background:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering electrical or mechanical experienced professional.

  • At least 4-5 years of relevant experience through Quality in Make to Order or Transformer business companies.

  • Nice to have previous experience with S/4 Hana SAP and related Quality Module.

  • Proficiency in MS Office tools especially Excel and Power Point. Collaborative approach and willingness to learn.

  • Diplomacy, problem solving skills and flexibility will complete the profile.

  • Lean Six Sigma certificate – Green Belt (an added advantage)

  • Strong analytical skills, especially with data analysis, is heavily preferred - proven experience working with failure analysis, FMEA (Failure Modes & Effects Analysis), FMECA (Failure Modes, Effects, & Criticality Analysis), test engineering, and/or product reliability is a plus.

  • Recent experience working with data-driven analytical methodologies for industrial quality applications - especially Statistical Process Control [SPC], Six Sigma, Process Capability (Cp, CpK), and/or Process Performance (Pp, PpK) Analysis. Experience working with Process Improvement and/or Continuous Improvement practices (e.g. Kaizen, 4Q, DMAIC, Gemba/Gemba, Root-Cause Analysis [RCA]; etc.).

  • Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
