What does the role look like?

We have an exciting Financial Reporting Accountant role to be based at our Wolverhampton HQ. In this hybrid role you will report into the Financial Planning & Analysis Manager & work closely with various stakeholders across our global sites.

We're open to background, although Manufacturing or similar experience would be advantageous. You will use your finance consolidation or group reporting expertise to bring a problem solver mindset to this role!

The successful candidate will hold responsibility for ensuring financial data submissions are accurate and provide good quality information to allow meaningful analysis for a range of stakeholders that directly impact our business.

What will your day-to-day responsibilities look like?

• Support Group reporting of consolidated monthly results, forecast, annual plan and long-term strategic plans. This includes quarterly and annual corporate financial reporting deliverables.
• Ownership of the consolidation of the group entities within the Financial Reporting systems. This includes
  • Management and reporting of the corporate minor entities
  • Oversight and review of the global business units’ financial submissions and consolidated position, covering balance sheet, P&L and supplemental information.
  • Key point of contact for the financial consolidation system
• Responsible for the consolidation of Group Quarterly Accounting Review (QAR) submissions and templates in collaboration with the Head of Accounting and Controls.
• Assist the consolidated sales and margin reporting process for actuals, forecast, annual plan and long-term strategic plan for all global sites
• Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal stakeholders
• Assist in the delivery of continuous improvement initiatives, proactively seek to identify opportunities across end-to-end processes and support bringing any changes into effect.
• Proactively investigate any data or process issues to understand root causes and work with stakeholders as necessary to resolve.
• Ad hoc support to the team as and when required
• Ensure compliance with RTX accounting policies and procedures in line with US GAAP, Sarbanes-Oxley, international accounting standards.

What will you bring to the role?

Essential skills:

• Previous experience in a finance consolidation or reporting role
• Excellent analytical skills with advanced Excel skills and experience of managing and interpreting large complex data sets
• Must possess a 'go see do' practical approach to solving challenges 

Desirable skills:  

• Customer Focus approach - Ability to pursue the best customer-focused responses that add value to the business.   
• Relevant finance qualifications would be beneficial
