Work you'll do/Responsibilities
This project is to provide services to our client to support their medical benefits management applications, their VMWare infrastructure, VDI components and support their user base.
VDI Environment Management:
- Design, deploy, and manage VDI solutions using platforms such as VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, or Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Monitor and maintain the health and performance of the VDI infrastructure.
- Perform regular updates, patches, and upgrades to VDI components to ensure security and stability.
Support and Troubleshooting:
- Provide Level 2/3 support for VDI-related issues, including performance tuning and optimization.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues within the VDI environment.
- Assist end-users with VDI-related problems and provide technical support.
Capacity Planning and Optimization:
- Conduct capacity planning and performance analysis to ensure the VDI environment meets current and future demands.
- Implement and manage resource allocation policies to optimize the use of VDI resources.
Security and Compliance:
- Ensure the VDI environment complies with organizational security policies and industry standards.
- Implement security best practices and perform regular security audits of the VDI infrastructure.
Backup and Disaster Recovery:
- Develop and maintain backup and disaster recovery plans for the VDI environment.
- Test and validate backup and recovery procedures to ensure data integrity and availability.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Maintain detailed documentation of the VDI environment, including configurations, procedures, and policies.
- Generate regular reports on the performance, capacity, and health of the VDI infrastructure.

Qualifications
Required
- 3-5 years of experience in VDI support and administration
- 3+ years of hands-on experience with VDI platforms such as VMware Horizon, Citrix Virtual Apps and Desktops, or Microsoft Azure Virtual Desktop.
- Bachelor's degree, preferably in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related IT discipline; or equivalent experience
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available
- Ability to travel 10%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve
Preferred Qualification
- Analytical/ decision making responsibilities
- Analytical ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks into manageable work products
- Can operate independently or with minimum supervision
- Excellent written and communication skills
- Ability to deliver technical demonstrations
