- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript).
- 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role; overseeing projects, with 2 years of experience in a people management, supervision/team leadership role.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience working in a complex, matrixed organization.

With technical and leadership expertise, you manage engineers across multiple teams and locations, a large product budget and oversee the deployment of large-scale projects across multiple sites internationally.
In this role, you will be joining a team of talented Software Engineers dedicated to building a new engineering function within the Cloud CISO organization. Our mission is to ensure the security of Google Cloud, its customers, and ultimately, contribute to the protection of the planet.
As a member of the Continuous Assurance Engineering team, you will be at the forefront of designing and developing solutions to address complex security challenges. You will have the unique opportunity to shape and build systems and processes from the ground up, as there are no established industry standards or ready-made solutions for the problems to address.

- Set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization's goals. Align strategy, processes, and decision-making across teams.
- Meet regularly to discuss performance and development and provide feedback and coaching.
- Develop the mid-term technical roadmap within the scope of the teams. Evolve the roadmap to meet anticipated future requirements and infrastructure needs.
- Coordinate with partner teams to deliver a quality production service. Build relationships with internal customers.
- Build scalable and maintainable technical solutions to solve industry-hard problems for the security and compliance domain.
