We’re seeking a Test Engineering Intern to join our business in North America during the summer of 2025 on our Hardware Engineering Team. This position offers valuable hands-on experience in testing, validating and optimizing hardware products such as RFID, loT devices and smart labeling systems. As a test engineering intern, you will support the development and execution of test plans to ensure the reliability, performance and quality of our cutting edge products. Our summer internship program serves as a talent pipeline for our Early Careers Program throughout the organization.
We are considering individuals who are excited about working in our state of the art facility in Miamisburg, OH.
What you will be doing
Assist in the developing and executing test plans, procedures and test cases for hardware systems including RFID and loT devices
Conduct functional, performance, and reliability testing on hardware prototypes and production systems
Set up and operate testing equipment, collect data, and document test results
Collaborate with hardware, software, and firmware teams to troubleshoot and resolve product defects
Analyze test data, generate reports and provide feedback on product quality and performance

Qualifications
What you will need to bring to the program
Avery Dennison has a long history of being an industry leader. Your history is important to us. It should include the following:
Education
Pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (min sophomore status) or Master’s degree with a focus on Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field
Bachelors and Masters degrees must come from an accredited US institution. Sponsorship is not available at this time. Students must be domestic.
Familiarity with testing methodologies, tools and techniques for hardware products
Basic understanding of electronics, embedded systems and hardware components
Experience with lab testing equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators is a plus)
Preferred Experience
Previous internship/co-op experience or relevant work experience
Experience via student organizations, such as Engineers without Borders, IEEE, American Society of Mechanical Engineers, American Society of Chemical Engineers, Society of Women Engineers, National Society of Black Engineers, Society of Hispanic Professional Engineers etc.
Volunteerism or similar activities
*Must have reliable transportation to and from work in Miamisburg, OH
*Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
Travel
Ability to travel 10 - 20 percent of the time
