This internship position is on the sustaining test engineering team where you will support all custom test equipment used for product acceptance across all programs in Vermont.  You will troubleshoot test equipment issues by reviewing requirements, detailed specifications, and LabVIEW code for complex automated test equipment to determine a root cause and corrective action, as well as update documentation through our engineering change process.  Our standard test equipment hardware solutions are National Instruments PXI, cRIO, FPGA and LabVIEW based along with custom designed electrical/mechanical/software solutions.  This internship will help to develop troubleshooting skills, which are critical for each team member.

This is an onsite internship position working with people across multiple disciplines including engineering and operations.  The sustaining test engineering team offers the unique ability to learn cross-functional aspects of test equipment troubleshooting issues that may be mechanical, software, hardware, system or product related.  The team is focused on providing engineering support to manufacturing/operations to help ensure on-time delivery of product.  Preferred soft skills of the candidate include; strong communication, eagerness to learn, and team-oriented. This is onsite, in Vergennes, Vermont.

Qualifications You Must Have:

• Requires a High School Diploma or equivalent and student must be pursuing a Bachelor’s or advanced degree in an applicable discipline.
• U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract.

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
