As a Technical Program Manager in Pro Platforms, you will play a key role defining and driving impactful engineering projects, solving complex systems problems and building features and infrastructure that powers work in VR. You have the proven ability to go deep into architecture and infrastructure along with a solid understanding of enterprise SaaS software. You are expected to be a highly effective communicator, both oral & written, articulate & implement a clear direction in both product & technical dimensions, and build strong partnerships across cross-functional teams in different regions of the globe. In addition, you can provide analytical insight and foresight to help shape long-term strategy, and drive planning and prioritization for the teams you’ll support. In driving execution of these plans, you will define and align cross team engagements which bring clarity and focus, and enable the easy flow of information and plans between people and teams, through the creation of effective communications at scale.

Technical Program Manager (Pro Platforms) Responsibilities:
  • Build strong and aligned program teams to efficiently deliver on shared goals.
  • Collaborate with Engineering, Marketing, Design and Research and business owners to define program requirements, set priorities, and establish scope, including defining the roadmap and long-term strategy of the teams that you are partnering with.
  • Manage cross functional dependencies, risks, and changes effectively by optimizing scope, schedule, and resources accordingly.
  • Develop and own communication plans to effectively and proactively communicate program status, issues, and risks to stakeholders.
  • Partner with cross functional teams to drive technical analysis, design, development, testing, implementation, and post implementation phases.
  • Define and track key metrics and key quality and performance indicators and drive cross functional execution of program deliverables.
  • Proactively identify and analyze complex, long-term, critical infrastructure problems with engineering leaders and stakeholders.
  • Influence product decisions to align with higher company initiatives.
  • Drive internal and external process improvements across multiple teams and functions including reducing the manual efforts through automation.


Minimum Qualifications:
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or a related technical discipline or related experience.
  • Extensive experience (10+ years) in Program Management, Engineering Management or experience working in a technical discipline.
  • Significant exposure to cloud-based SaaS architecture. Knowledge of identity, security, privacy, or compliance in cloud-based solutions.
  • Demonstrated experience delivering large scale tech programs or products from inception to delivery.
  • Experience operating autonomously across multiple teams in different geographical locations, demonstrated critical thinking, and thought leadership.
  • Ability to motivate and focus a large collaboration to reach challenging goals.


Preferred Qualifications:
  • Prior experience as a Technical Program Manager.
  • Prior experience in a hands-on software development focused position (Software Engineer, Solutions Architect etc).
