Our employees are not only part of history, they’re making history. We are seeking a leader for the position of Manager, Integrated Product Team (IPT) Leadership 2 in Product Team Leadership (PTL). This functional management position reports to the PTL section manager and is responsible for managing a team of IPT Leaders, providing oversight and a PTL focal point for the assigned business areas(s). The role is also responsible to serve as the focal point with one or more of the hardware engineering departments. IPT Leads are responsible to lead an integrated team (e. g. mechanical, electrical, firmware, integration and test, manufacturing and GSC) to deliver a technically-compliant product to the next higher level of integration within cost and schedule requirements. The PTL organization is responsible to develop and staff the IPT Leads for hardware IPTs at the Baltimore Mission Systems campus.
What you’ll get to do:

  • Be responsible for understanding IPT project performance within their assigned business area, coordinating response to
  • recover troubled projects, and mentoring IPT leads for improved performance and career growth.
  • Identify and flow down proper policy, process, procedures, tools, training, templates, and guidance to support IPT Leads.
  • Serve as the PTL liaison and focal point to their assigned business area(s) and functional department(s).
  • Staff IPT Lead needs within their business area from within PTL, through IPT Lead candidates in other functional
  • organizations, and by recruiting, hiring, and training external candidates.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in Electrical or RF Engineering or equivalent Engineering or Technical degree
  • Minimum 7 years of related engineering experience including responsibility as an integrated product team or technical lead
  • Team leadership and teamwork skills demonstrated through at least two years of experience as an IPT Lead, Engineering, Manager or equivalent.
  • Working knowledge of EVMS, risk management, scheduling practices, and other financial and programmatic reporting.
  • Minimum Security Clearance: Secret

Preferred Qualifications:

  • MS or MBA in technical, business, or related field
  • Preferred Security Clearance: Active Top Secret/SCI clearance or secret with reinvestigation within past five years

Salary Range: $145,000 - $217,400

The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
