This position will include supporting our US Federal regulated markets.
This position requires passing a ServiceNow background screening, USFedPASS (US Federal Personnel Authorization Screening Standards). This includes a credit check, criminal/misdemeanor check and taking a drug test. Any employment is contingent upon passing the screening. Due to Federal requirements, only US citizens, US naturalized citizens or US Permanent Residents, holding a green card, will be considered.
As a Staff DevOps Security Engineer, you will have the opportunity to become a key member of the Cloud Platform group building Cloud Infrastructure Services and APIs to manage the full lifecycle of application and database code.
We are looking for someone with an in-depth and low-level understanding of Security Protocols along with Centos/Redhat. Performance, reliability, scalability, and high availability are always at the core of our work.
What you get to do in this role:
- Develop, build, and maintain a platform for large-scale Enterprise Application with 10,000+ physical hosts
- Review and triage vulnerability findings
- Debug and test vulnerabilities
- Troubleshoot difficult production issues, e.g. memory leaks, network problems, and various intermittent failures across the stack.
- Adept utilization of Linux command prompt for both administration and shell scripting
Qualifications
To be successful in this role you have:
- 6+ years experience in DevOps building, and maintaining a platform for large-scale Enterprise Applications with 10,000+ physical hosts
- Experience with using git to manage source code
- Expert-level skills with Ruby, Chef or Puppet
- Expert level understanding of Centos/RHEL OS and experience installing, maintaining, and designing services.
- Familiarity with Cloud Technologies - OpenStack, AWS, or Azure are a plus
- Experience developing, troubleshooting, and optimizing relational databases including Oracle, MySQL, MariaDB, PostgresSQL
- Demonstrated aptitude for learning new technologies and systems quickly
- Demonstrated success working independently and as a team to complete complex projects, on time
- Exceptional debugging, testing, and critical thinking & problem-solving skills
- Ability to deal with interruptions and adapt to changing priorities within the team.
