Minimum qualifications:- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 5 years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages, and with data structures/algorithms.
- 3 years of experience testing, maintaining, or launching software products, and 1 year of experience with software design and architecture.
- 3 years of experience in SQL and data analytics.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master's degree or PhD in Computer Science or related technical field.
- 1 year of experience in a technical leadership role.
- Experience in frontend coding tools and languages (e.g., Javascript/Typescript, Flutter, Dart, Angular).
- Business analysis (statistical modeling, regression analysis, advanced use of tools for quantitative analysis) and web tool development or database experience (SQL; Python; PHP, JavaScript, Ajax).

The Metrics team is responsible for defining and executing on the key performance indicators that enable data-driven investment and decision making on the frameworks and infrastructure that serves Google’s largest and most important products (e.g., Search, Workspace, Gmail and more).
The Core team builds the technical foundation behind Google’s flagship products. We are owners and advocates for the underlying design elements, developer platforms, product components, and infrastructure at Google. These are the essential building blocks for excellent, safe, and coherent experiences for our users and drive the pace of innovation for every developer. We look across Google’s products to build central solutions, break down technical barriers and strengthen existing systems. As the Core team, we have a mandate and a unique opportunity to impact important technical decisions across the company.
- Develop and maintain automated ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines for efficient data processing.
- Manage structured and unstructured data from diverse sources and formats.
- Implement robust data quality assurance measures.
- Create and manage informative data dashboards for clients.
