Impact
We are looking for an experienced Advisory Data Scientist with a strong background in advanced machine learning techniques, deep learning architectures, operations research, simulation modeling, and generative AI. This role requires a deep understanding of data-driven problem solving, statistical analysis, and the ability to translate complex algorithms into impactful business solutions.
The Job
- Data Science Development: Develop, enhance, and maintain a state-of-the-art data science solutions that supports the end-to-end data science lifecycle, from data understanding, preprocessing to model training and deployment.
- Innovative Features: Stay updated with the latest trends and advancements in data science and AI and implement cutting-edge solutions to facilitate advanced analytics.
- Collaboration: Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including data engineers, and product managers, to understand their needs and translate them into platform features and capabilities.
- Business Understanding: Build strong domain knowledge and leverage data science to solve business problems.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- Master’s or Ph.D. in Computer Science, Data Science, Operations Research, Statistics, or a related field.
- Experience working with large datasets and distributed computing platforms.
- Strong knowledge of model evaluation techniques, optimization strategies, simulation methodologies, and generative AI advancements.
- A proactive, problem-solving mindset, with the ability to innovate and deliver high-quality results in fast-paced environments.
Must have:
- Expertise in Advanced Machine Learning Algorithms: Proficient in applying state-of-the-art algorithms such as XGBoost, Gradient Boosting Machines (GBM), and deep learning architectures including Convolutional Neural Networks (CNNs), Recurrent Neural Networks (RNNs), and Generative Adversarial Networks (GANs) to solve real-world challenges.
- Generative AI Experience: Hands-on experience with Generative AI models, including GANs, Variational Autoencoders (VAEs), and Large Language Models (LLMs), to develop creative AI solutions for complex tasks such as content generation.
- Feature Engineering & Data Exploration: Skilled in designing and implementing effective feature engineering techniques to optimize model performance. Should be able to perform thorough exploratory data analysis (EDA) to uncover insights, trends, and data patterns that drive decision-making.
- Statistical Inference in Business Contexts: Strong understanding of statistical inference methods, including hypothesis testing, Central Limit Theorem (CLT), Z-tests, and t-tests. Capable of applying these tools in practical business scenarios to drive sound data-driven decisions.
- Operations Research & Optimization: Experience in applying operations research techniques such as linear programming, integer programming, and other optimization methods to solve complex business problems. Ability to model and optimize supply chain operations, resource allocation, and decision-making under constraints.
- Simulation Modeling: Proficient in building and implementing simulation models to evaluate and optimize business processes. Able to simulate real-world systems to assess performance, make informed decisions, and improve efficiency in areas like logistics, inventory management, and network design.
- Proficient in Python: Deep programming expertise in Python, with hands-on experience in libraries such as NumPy, pandas, scikit-learn, TensorFlow, PyTorch, and simulation tools like SimPy or Arena. Ability to write clean, efficient, and scalable code to support data science, machine learning, and optimization projects.
- Effective Communication Skills: Strong ability to communicate complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Able to present insights and recommendations in a clear, concise, and impactful manner, fostering collaboration across teams.
