The Technology Center Site Manager will lead the operations and development of our Technology Center Site, managing a team of over 20 employees. This role is pivotal in fostering a culture of quality, collaboration, and transparency, while also focusing on the professional growth and coaching of direct and indirect reports. As a member of both the Technology Center and Operating Unit management teams, this individual will drive innovation, ensure operational safety, and align team goals with organizational values.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership & Development: Manage and develop a team of over 20 employees, promoting an environment of high quality, collaboration, and openness. Focus on coaching and mentoring team members to drive professional growth.
- Management Team Membership: Participate actively in the management teams of both the Technology Center and the Operating Unit, contributing to strategic planning and decision-making processes.
- Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Take accountability for HSE aspects within the team and infrastructure. This includes managing roles and responsibilities, governance, personal protective equipment (PPE), training, and certifications to ensure a safe working environment.
- Project Oversight: Oversee research and development projects, ensuring timely, on-budget, and on-scope delivery. This involves securing resources, competencies, and tools while adhering to R&D processes, technical standards, and instructions.
- Cost Management: Manage the cost center, aligning local spending with budget allocation. Provide accurate and timely monthly cost reports and forecasts to inform budgeting decisions.
- External Partnerships: Build and maintain relationships with other teams, research units, and external entities such as universities and research institutes to foster collaboration and innovation.

Qualifications:
- Education: Master’s or Doctorate in Engineering or a related field.
- Experience: At least 5 years of experience in technology, engineering, or R&D in a business environment, with significant expertise in people management and/or coaching.
- Technical Knowledge: Profound experience in R&D project management, with knowledge of R&D processes and tools. Familiarity with technologies related to low-voltage (LV) and high-voltage (HV) capacitors and power quality products is an advantage.
- Skills: Strong organizational and communication skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks, manage time effectively, and meet deadlines under pressure. A collaborative and integrative personality with cross-functional thinking is essential.
- Language Requirements: Proficiency in English is required; knowledge of French is advantageous.
