This position is for a Summer Legal Operations Process Optimization Intern. The selected Legal Operations Process Optimization Intern will be integrated with, and work as part of, the Shared Legal Services team within Raytheon’s Legal, Contracts and Compliance (LCC) function as they support Raytheon’s business and programs in the U.S. and nearly seventy other countries. The successful candidate will be someone with exceptional abilities to analyze and capture complex facts and processes, communicate responses and recommendations through verbal and written work product, and work directly with Raytheon LCC personnel in a collaborative environment. What You Will Do

  • Support a broad spectrum of real legal process challenges posed by Raytheon’s work around the world

What You Will Learn

  • Be exposed to a wide-range of legal practice processes, including but not limited to corporate governance, labor and employment, litigation, functional (environmental health and safety, facilities/real estate, security, quality, safety, engineering, digital technology, communications), supply chain, intellectual property, international, transactions, government contracts, compliance, global trade, and legal operations

Qualifications You Must Have

  • Actively enrolled sophomore or higher by the start of Summer 2025 and pursing a bachelor's or advanced degree in the field of STEM; Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics
  • Excellent analytical ability and with experience in process mapping and continuous improvement as well as excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Project management experience
  • Ability to confidently interact and communicate effectively with teams at all levels
  • U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are authorized to access information under this program/contract

Qualifications We Prefer  

  • 3.0 cumulative GPA
  • Industrial Engineering background
  • Lean experience
  • Programming experience
  • Ability to capture application requirements and communicate effectively to developers

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
