Our employees are not only part of history, they’re making history. Northrop Grumman is seeking a Senior Global Privacy Analyst to join a team of diverse professionals. This role can be performed by a level 2 (early career) or level 3 (Mid-Career). This is a 100% virtual/remote position, located in the United States.
This position will report to the Global Privacy Manager focusing on privacy portfolio management, privacy reviews, incident management, and other privacy projects. The individual will be assigned to other privacy tasks in support of the department’s goals and objectives. This role requires an understanding of global privacy laws, including GDPR requirements and the ability to apply them within the context of our organization’s operations.
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Operationalize processes to support privacy and data governance controls to manage personal data throughout the lifecycle, including data inventories, data mapping, and privacy by design, data minimization and data retention requirements.
- Maintain current knowledge of global privacy laws and compliance requirements, specifically the GDPR.
- Provide guidance and support to internal teams on global privacy requirements including, Lawful bases of processing and data transfer mechanisms.
- Work with business stakeholders to guide the completion of privacy assessments and Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) related to products, technologies, and vendors to identify and escalate potential privacy concerns.
- Draft Standard Contractual Clauses and review contract language related to personal data and ensure compliance with business standards and global data protection regulations.
- Collaborate with legal, engineers, marketing, sales, procurement, information security and other cross-functional teams on privacy inquires.
- Manage privacy policies, procedures, documentation, company guidance and workflows.
- Understand technical terminology to translate between technical and privacy teams on regulatory requirements.
- Manage team mailboxes to respond to privacy queries.
- Exhibit personal ownership and accountability for continuous improvement.
- Identify critical issues with ease. Exhibit confidence and knowledge of privacy best practices.
- Complete special projects as requested.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 2:
- a relevant Master’s Degree and 0 years of experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree with 2 years of experience OR an Associate’s Degree with 4 years of experience OR a High School Diploma/GED with 6 years of experience
- Experience in any of the following disciplines: Data Privacy or Legal
- Must have experience with remote collaboration tools, including Zoom
- Must have experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:
- Must have a Master’s Degree and 3 years of experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree with 5 years of experience OR an Associate’s Degree with 7 years of experience OR a High School Diploma/GED with 9 years of experience
- Experience in any of the following disciplines: Data Privacy or Legal
- Must have experience with remote collaboration tools, including Zoom
- Must have experience with Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Outlook
Preferred Qualifications:
- CIPP, CIPM, CIPT or other related IAPP certifications
- Experience working with OneTrust software platform for data privacy compliance
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent organizational skills and problem-solving abilities and attention to detail Able to work independently and within a global virtual team environment
Salary Range: $79,300 - $99,100
Salary Range 2: $97,500 - $146,300
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
