With over 15,000 custom stories told across 20 different verticals the opportunities are endless for our new Strategic Account Executive.
Hearst StoryStudio is searching for a dynamic Strategic Account Executive to maximize StoryStudio direct revenue. You will sell strategic custom content solutions to current and new advertisers, helping their businesses grow by leveraging our product suite, traffic, and digital data to reach their target audience. This position involves managing a full sales cycle: prospecting, leading presentations, creating proposals, closing business opportunities, and managing post-sales campaign results.

What will you do?
- Sales Goals: Exceed sales activity, pipeline, and revenue goals on a monthly basis.
- Lead Generation: Call on medium to large businesses to show the value of our suite of advertising products. Generate new leads through cold calling, email marketing, networking, and staying aware of new business openings.
- Pipeline Management: Continually build a pipeline of new business and upsell opportunities.
- Product Expertise: Become an expert on our digital and print products/services.
- Client Interaction: Conduct discovery calls and presentations with prospects and customers.
- Client Solutions: Recommend new products and promotional opportunities to current clients and handle objections efficiently.
- Forecasting: Manage client pipeline and monthly revenue forecast.
- Advertising Solutions: Create engaging advertising solutions to solve clients’ business needs.

What we’re looking for:
- Education: BA/BS degree in Advertising, Marketing, or Communications a plus or equivalent experience.
- Experience: 5+ years of business-to-business outside sales in advertising or media, with a proven success in new business acquisition and exceeding revenue goals.
- Skills: Superior presentation, interpersonal, and communication skills. Technically savvy with experience in Salesforce, Excel, and PowerPoint.
- Mindset: Goal-oriented, competitive, and forward-thinking with strong business and financial acumen.

- Remote work - Hearst can offer remote work in many states, with the option to also work in one of our local market offices, like San Francisco, Houston, or New York City.
In accordance with applicable law, Hearst is required to include a reasonable estimate of the compensation for this role if hired in California. The reasonable estimate is between $85,000 and $95,000. Please note this information is specific to those hired in San Francisco. A final decision on the successful candidate’s starting salary will be based on a number of permissible, non-discriminatory factors, including but not limited to skills and experience, training, certifications, and education.
