The Analyst Sales Analytics will support and enable the Nestlé Sales Organization (NSO) Analytics by leading analytical requests & initiatives within their categories of expertise. They will provide effective reporting & proactively deliver actionable insights to drive the business. The analyst will assist CAMs in the fundamental sales processes that drive category growth and achieve annual sales and commercial spend targets. The primary responsibilities include utilizing sophisticated analytic data models to compile analysis, providing recommendations for positive ROI, translating business needs into functional requirements, and ensuring the outputs meet the business needs. The analyst will also identify and communicate business trends, update scorecards, produce ad-hoc reports, and implement a unified source of truth mindset.
Category Strategy: Deliver insights that drive business decisions, foster thought leadership, and help develop the story for sustained category growth.
- Maintain a holistic understanding of the category and business landscape
- Proactively provide actionable insights that drive the business/category and meet the current business needs
- Strategize & advise stakeholders on opportunities for profitable growth
- Develop and deliver content that clearly communicates recommendations based on key insights
- Seek root causes and implications for retail or category concerns
- Conduct post-analysis of key initiatives, and perform benchmark analysis for retail or category performance.
- Pull internal and retail POS data to support the Business Planning Process with fact-based inputs and insights.
Reporting & Analysis Strategy: Identify, provide, and analyze the tools, reports, and data needed to successfully support the day-to day business needs of NSO
- Analyze the value of retail, and contribute to forecast accuracy, sales performance targets, meeting sales goals, segmentation/resource allocation, and improving customer service.
- Apply standard Enable Hub reports to the local team’s needs
- Support unique data requests for the categories they support
- CAM & CDM’s point of contact for all faucets of Enable Hub support
- Own the deployment and ongoing training of Enable Hub resources
Requirements:
- Minimum of 18 months of experience in retail sales or other sales business with a focus
- Bachelor's Degree from an accredited institution or equivalent experience
- on sales reporting and analytics
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong analytical, critical thinking, and time-management skills
- Excellent customer service orientation
- Strong verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- Organizational and accuracy skills with great attention to detail
- Demonstrate a thorough understanding of sales fundamentals
- Other duties as assigned
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with syndicated data (e.g., IRI), data management, and data visualization
- Experience as a Field Sales Representative or Customer Account Associate
- Experience manipulating and managing large amounts of data
- Good working knowledge of Nestlé and the customer base in Grocery, Mass, and New Business channels.
- Successfully delivered on KPI objectives in previous roles
- Proactive, results-focused, challenge current processes, influence without authority, and identify opportunities beyond their role's expectations.
