  • 5 years of experience working cross-functionally with engineering, UX, marketing, legal and other stakeholders.
  • 2 years of product management experience in a consumer media company (e.g., music, TV, film).
  • 1 year of experience in software development or engineering.

YouTube is the world's largest music streaming service, with music fans watching and listening to their favorite artists every month. The YouTube Music team is responsible for cultivating and growing YouTube’s music experience partnering with Google Deepmind and Research, to organize the entire world of music, putting YouTube's vast catalog at your fingertips. In this role, you’ll be the lead product manager for the YouTube Music app’s homepage, the front door of our product.

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $142,000-$211,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Your recruiter can share more about the specific salary range for your preferred location during the hiring process.

Responsibilities
  • Own the YouTube Music applications #1 surface.
  • Define the product vision and strategy for the Music app Home surface, working closely with our Home and Radio engineering, design, and data science teams to drive your roadmap.
  • Develop innovative music discovery experiences on Home and partner closely with our machine learning experts to improve nomination and ranking.
  • Partner with a cross-functional team including marketing, legal, UX, and others to bring your experiences to market.
