The Operational Excellence (OpX) Site Lead, JAX will be the focal for the OpX team at the Jacksonville depot.  The site lead will be responsible for driving F135 MRO&U readiness (“Readiness Level”) and developing and executing improvement projects to advance depot maturity, resulting in improved quality, delivery, and financial metrics (e.g., escapes, turnaround time, overhaul hours).  This role will report to the Associate Director, ME Sustainment Operational Excellence.

What You Will Do:

  • Responsible for JAX depot Readiness Level baselines and improvement plans
  • Developing relationship with on-site PW team
  • Leading cross-functional team to progress site maturity and Readiness Level
  • Collaborating with OpX SMEs/discipline leads on depot improvement projects

Qualifications You Must Have:                                                                                     

  • B.S. in Operations, Management, Engineering, or related field with 10+ years of Operations, Engineering, Program Management, or related functional experience; or an advanced degree with 7+ years of relevant experience..
  • Must be able to obtain security clearance.
  • ​Must be a U.S. Citizen. This position may require access to systems/tools that are restricted to individuals who possess US citizenship.

         

Qualifications We Prefer:

  • Shop-floor experience.
  • Familiarity with F135 assembly and/or test in a production or overhaul environment (military or commercial).
  • Familiarity with Manufacturing Readiness Levels (MRL).
  • Self-motivated, team player with good communication skills.  Ability to focus on results and successfully manage multiple tasks/projects.
  • Proven success working in a matrixed organization.
  • Certified as CORE Apprentice.

  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance workers, as they are essential to the development of our engines.
  • Candidates will learn more about role type and current site status throughout the recruiting process. For onsite and hybrid roles, commuting to and from the assigned site is the employee’s personal responsibility.

The salary range for this role is 118,000 USD - 246,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
