Hi there!
At Zapier, our mission is to make automation accessible to everyone. We're seeking a Product Manager to lead our Multi-Product Billing Experience on the Catalog Team. Over the past year, Zapier has expanded beyond its core automation product to offer a comprehensive suite, enabling customers to build full end-to-end applications—featuring interfaces, tables, chatbots, and AI-powered tools—within Zapier.
In this role, you'll lead the maturation and hands-on execution of our multi-product purchasing experience, driving growth and monetization at every stage—from BETA to GA. You'll focus on building a strategy for a scalable UX platform that manages complexity across diverse billing models, ensuring a seamless and intuitive purchasing experience for our customers.
As a Senior Product Manager on the Catalog team, you’ll work closely with our Pricing and Packaging council and the New Product teams to launch new shopping experiences, drive adoption strategies for multi-product offerings, and collaborate with the Payments team to ensure our product SKU catalog evolves seamlessly with our existing billing systems. Your leadership will be pivotal in scaling our multi-product purchasing experience as Zapier continues to expand its Automation Platform product suite.
Things You'll Do:Lead Multi-Product Purchase Strategy: Drive the evolution of Zapier’s multi-product purchasing experience from an MVP to a scalable platform, supporting Zapier’s transformation into a comprehensive product suite. You’ll optimize the full end-to-end multi-product purchase journey—covering how products are presented, bought, and managed—to boost discovery and retention across self-serve and sales-assisted customer segments.
Integrate and Launch New Product Packaging: Collaborate with the New Products teams and the Pricing and Packaging Council to integrate new offerings into the purchasing experience, focusing on upselling, cross-selling, and bundling opportunities. You’ll advise on when to leverage existing billing functionalities and when to develop new capabilities to meet business needs.
Champion the Voice of the Customer: Become deeply attuned to customer needs, especially in how self-serve customers buy and manage multiple products. You’ll take a customer-first approach that balances monetization and retention goals with customer delight. Create a feedback loop within your team to show the direct impact of your work on customer satisfaction and align technical decisions with customer needs.
Own Business Outcomes: Engage cross-functionally, including PMM partners, to promote multi-product adoption among both new and existing customer segments. Ensure that customers receive the right shopping experience at the right time during their interactions with the Zapier platform. Utilize established frameworks to set success metrics, prioritize enhancements, and take ownership of your roadmap, creating a cohesive cross-product experience for multi-product upsells.
Optimize the Product Catalog Platform: Work with engineering, design, support, and finance to maintain a scalable SKU catalog. Ensure coordination across teams to seamlessly implement new features and pricing model adjustments, handle legacy plan migrations, and scale pricing pages as the catalog grows.
Strategic Domain Leadership – You bring 5+ years of product management experience, specializing in creating seamless shopping experiences for product suites, add-ons, and bundled offerings. You’ve successfully launched multi-product packages with go-to-market teams, skillfully navigating the unique challenges of multi-product purchasing journeys—overseeing core products with add-ons, aligning billing schedules, managing proration, and facilitating downgrade and upsell dynamics.
Deep Customer Empathy – Your entrepreneurial mindset and curiosity about customer experiences fuel your ability to turn feedback into impactful business opportunities. Guided by the customer’s voice, your roadmap reflects their needs, and you excel at advocating for them with stakeholders. You actively engage with customers, understand their pain points, and balance system limitations with UX and functionality.
Iterative Development & Planning – You thrive in the complexity of billing systems, embracing rapid development and continuous improvements. Skilled at managing scope and trade-offs, you deliver functional solutions quickly, refining them based on customer insights while maintaining a long-term, customer-first vision. You apply a “now, next, later” road-mapping approach to balance immediate needs with future goals.
Mastered EPD-Style Collaboration – As a proven, equal contributor within Engineering-Product-Design (EPD) leadership, you foster trust, transparency, and alignment with your leadership partners. You clarify roles and responsibilities for effective execution, addressing challenges with a collaborative, win-win approach.
Leveraging Engineering as Innovation Partners – You know how to engage engineering as key contributor to innovation. You foster a culture of agency and autonomy, leveraging engineers’ strengths and creativity to tackle business challenges. By setting clear boundaries and providing structure, you balance space for innovative thinking with focused delivery.
