Raytheon is seeking a highly motivated candidate to serve as the Stinger Launcher Deputy Program Manager. The Stinger Missile is a lightweight, self-contained air defense system that can be rapidly deployed to ground troops. Combat proven in four major conflicts, the weapon has more than 270 fixed and rotary wing intercepts to its credit. It’s deployed in 19 nations and with all four major US military services.
You will be responsible for all facets of Launcher and Support Equipment production execution concurrently on multiple programs. This includes responsibility for managing all procurement, manufacturing, supplier management, technical, schedule, and cost performance and accountability for meeting program milestones. As the Deputy Program Manager, you will be required to coordinate and effectively operate among multiple Raytheon Technologies' functions, at production execution levels, and occasionally, senior/executive leadership. You will report to the Stinger Launcher Production Program Manager.
What You Will Do
- Provide leadership to a cross functional production team (including key external suppliers) to achieve program cost/schedule/compliance objectives in support of contractual Stinger Program launcher and related hardware and non-hardware deliverables
- Meet contractual commitments including quality, technology, and schedule performance using the approved business model and management tools including EVMS, Risk Management, IPDS, PRISM, etc.
- Use approved control systems and reports that accurately measure progress, identify potential problems in sufficient time for corrective action to be taken and ensures meeting contract commitments
- Manage regular internal status reviews including Daily standup of key issues, Gate Reviews, Internal and External Program Management Reviews. Focus, evaluate, motivate and reward the production team, enabling them to achieve desired results
- Supports proposals for launchers, spares, and support equipment
- Supports a program organizational culture aligned with Raytheon Technologies' vision and values
- Expected to support domestic and international travel as needed
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a Bachelor’s degree and 10 years of relevant experience OR an Advanced degree and minimum 7 years of experience is required
- Experience with financial analysis tools and project management tools and/or systems
- Experience leading cross-functional teams to include, but not limited to, any combination of the following: Engineering, Contracts, Finance, Procurement/Supply Chain, Manufacturing/Operations, Quality Management, Logistics, Data Management (CDRL support) and/or administrative functions
- Experience balancing technical, cost, and schedule on a program
- The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance
Qualifications We Prefer
- Experience with and understanding of export and import controls, compliance and licensing
- Demonstrated experience in executing and meeting program CPI/SPI and on time delivery requirements
- Direct experience and production of complex weapons systems or equivalent including supplier management/complexities and successfully introducing new production starts and obsolescence redesigns into the production baseline
- Direct experience in program planning, budgeting, and tracking (EVMS) to cost and schedule, EAC and proposal experience
- Previous Test execution or integration experience
