Key Responsibilities:
The Business Development Manager will be responsible for developing business opportunities and strategic positioning for growing Collins Aerospace business in South Korea’s military and defense market.
The incumbent is the main interface to our customers and is responsible for understanding customer needs and requirements. Together with an Integrated Project Team, you will work together to develop a solution to provide an integrated avionics systems and products to meet customers’ requirements.
- Develops strategy and customer engagement to influence customer requirements with Collins value proposition
- Leads customer meetings, develops presentations, and supports product demonstrations
- Build customer network and affinity, gain insights into what it takes to win businesses
- Represents Business Development as part of an Integrated Project Team in overall Pursuit and Order Capture plan, analyzing customers most important requirements, competitive landscape and execution of the pursuit win strategy
- Support Bids and Proposals in response to customer’s RFP (ROM, FFP, BAFO, schedule and negotiation)
- Accountable for Orders forecast for annual and 5-year plan; provide timely and accurate forecasting information
- Tradeshows participation and support
- Manage and work with Non-Employee Sales Representatives that Collins engaged in South Korea to develop and capture business opportunities.
- This position will require domestic and international travel about 30% of the time.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in appropriate discipline, preferred avionics, aerospace background
- Minimum of 5 years’ experience in aerospace industries.
- Prior business development, sales and marketing experience to government, military and local aerospace industries in South Korea is required.
- Experience and knowledge of South Korea government procurement & budgeting process and Offset requirements
- Fluent in English and Korean. Additional language skill will be an added advantage.
- Ability to work independently
- Excellent presentation, communication and writing skills
- Demonstrate passion to win and ability to create and convert leads into winning opportunities
- Strong interpersonal skill at various level, work ethic and accountability
