Operates production equipment, responsible for manufacturing and assembly of commercial aerospace components.  Follows blueprints, guidelines, and/or diagrams to ensure product specifications and tolerance levels are met.  Relies on limited experience and judgment to plan and accomplish work. Responsible for test acceptance processes in the manufacture of Collins products. This includes responsibility for specific process or environmental areas. A team player, hardworking , high integrity , trustworthy and easy to work with .

What You Will Do:

  • Perform technical tasks by following detailed written or verbal instructions, utilizing a variety of equipment, including computers and lasers, while reading schematics and troubleshooting hardware or software issues.
  • Collaborate with engineers to analyze and resolve manufacturing test problems, prioritize tasks, and help eliminate defects to improve test yields.
  • Follow established test procedures and interact with other departments, such as engineering and manufacturing, on routine technical matters.
  • Support manufacturing by resolving problems, managing workflow, and troubleshooting non-conformances to meet team goals.
  • Accurately document time changes, test data, and parts usage, with limited data interpretation, while maintaining necessary documentation.
  • Use multiple databases to gather information for decision-making, requiring limited judgment in the evaluation and preparation of documentation.

Qualifications You Must Have: 

  • High school Diploma or equivalent. In the absence of a HS diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant experience is required.
  • Previous electronics experience required.
  • Must have experience in troubleshooting and problem solving.
  • Must have an understanding of schematic reading and blueprint interpretation.

Qualifications We Prefer

  • Production assembly experience
  • Associates degree in Electronics
  • Prior experience with component level troubleshooting
