Warehouse and Logistics Intern - 2025

The Nightwing business provides technically advanced full-spectrum cyber, data operations, systems integration and intelligence mission support services to meet our customers’ most demanding challenges. Nightwing Special Projects ELITE (SPE) brings together an elite team of mission-focused industry experts who are well known for their ability to overcome the most advanced challenges. 
Nightwing’s SPE organization is seeking a Warehouse and Logistics Intern with a combination of strong technical, creative, and communication skills to support a customer warehouse located in Clarksville, TN. In this role, you will be part of a team responsible for the daily management of Receiving, Warehousing, and Distribution Operations across multiple locations while ensuring the flawless execution of materials from origin through to delivery to meet business requirements. Candidates must be professional, self-starters, possess a positive attitude, and work well within a diverse business environment.

This position is an onsite role.

Responsibilities to Anticipate: 

  • Inventory Management, including stock accounting and inspections

  • Warehouse activities including storage, material receipt, and packaging

  •  Support Material management planning and scheduling

  •  Participate in Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) consultation, risk assessment and control

  •  Participate in material logistic systems process improvements

  •  General market research to improve company effectiveness

Basic Qualifications:

  • Must be enrolled in a degree program related to discipline (Business Administration, Supply Chain, Transportation) with an expected graduation date by start of internship

  •  GPA of 3.0+ in a 4.0 grade scale

  • The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required

  • Background check and drug screen required (every external new hire in the U.S.) Drug screen only performed on re-hires who have been gone for more than 1 year

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Excellent personal organization to enable effective multi-tasking, strong attention to detail and simultaneous management of projects at different development stages  

  • Ability to work independently

  • A passion to learn something new every day and to stay up to date with developments in your field

  • Adept at independent problem-solving and comfortable with a general approach of taking initiative to find and develop solutions

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications

  • A strong communicator with others, both written and verbal

  • Attention to detail: must pay strong attention to detail to be able to keep information accurate and organized while utilizing skills and knowledge to quickly learn about the project

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 82,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Specific benefits are dependent upon the specific business unit as well as whether or not the position is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement.

Hired applicants may be eligible for annual short-term and/or long-term incentive compensation programs depending on the level of the position and whether or not it is covered by a collective-bargaining agreement. Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
