The Naval Airborne Systems (NAS) Sub-Strategic Business Unit under the Naval Power (NP) BU is looking for a Principal FP&A Analyst to join our high performing team, onsite, in our brand new, state of art facility in Plano, TX. This position requires a Top-Secret clearance. This role will report to the NAS Sr. FP&A Manager and will be a valued business partner within the NAS SSBU through interaction with both the program and SSBU leadership team to achieve business targets.

The ideal candidate for this role should be a strategic business thinker, team orientated, proactive, self inspired, possess excellent technical knowledge of financial planning processes, good problem-solving abilities, excellent communication skills and experienced at messaging through all levels.

What You Will Do

  • Lead program(s) monthly forecast of Bookings, Sales, Earnings and Cash (BSEC) forecast.
  • Report monthly variance analysis of actuals vs. Annual Operating Plan (AOP) and forecast.
  • Partner with Program management Office (PMO) office to prepare weekly BSEC Risk and Opportunity position.
  • Analyze & make recommendations to key team members regarding AOP/LRP metrics.
  • Present financial information and analysis to PMO and SSBU key team members.
  • Collaborate with NAS FP&A team to modernize reporting to dashboard environment (PowerBI).
  • Develop, utilize, and disseminate process improvement and tool improvement opportunities to enhance critical thinking opportunities for the entire finance team.
  • Ad-hoc request support in an exciting environment.

Qualification You Must Have

  • Typically requires a University Degree in business, Math, Finance, Accounting, or a related field or equivalent experience and minimum 5 years prior relevant experience, or An Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 3 years experience.
  • Experienced user of SAP (APEX and/or Prism) or similar ERP financial systems.
  • Experience with data analysis, reporting and/or process improvement.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, primarily Excel, Analysis and PowerPoint.
  • The ability to obtain and maintain a US security clearance. U.S. citizenship is required as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a secret clearance.

  • Experience working independently and with higher levels of administration.

Additional Information

  • This position is grade P3, Principal Specialist, FP&A.
  • Onsite: Employees who are working in Onsite roles will work primarily onsite. This includes all production and maintenance employees, as they are essential to the development of our products.
  • Relocation assistance is not available.

The salary range for this role is 77,000 USD - 163,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.

This role is a U.S.-based role. If the successful candidate resides in a U.S. territory, the appropriate pay structure and benefits will apply.
