As part of our growth strategy, Hitachi Energy is expanding its Czech operations.
To support this project we are looking for an experienced HR Transformation Manager to lead and execute a comprehensive site relocation project (within the same business park). This role will manage all phases of the project, from planning and communication to execution and post-move evaluation, ensuring a seamless transition for employees and compliance with organizational standards. The ideal candidate will have experience in project management, human resources, and change management, with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills to lead cross-functional teams.
The HR Transformation Manager will also provide his/her expertise to support the site HR team. This position will be based in Brno, Czech Republic and report to the HR Business Partner, Operations.
Your responsibilities
1. Project Planning and Coordination
- Develop and drive implementation of a detailed project plan, timeline, and budget for the site relocation in collaboration with key stakeholders.
- Define project objectives, deliverables, and KPIs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and employee needs.
- Identify and coordinate with relevant departments (e.g., IT, facilities, legal) to address logistical requirements.
2. Stakeholder Management and Communication
- Act as the primary point of contact for all relocation-related matters, liaising with internal stakeholders and external vendors.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive communication plan to keep employees informed of relocation timelines, expectations, and support resources.
- Regularly update stakeholders on project status, potential risks, and progress toward milestones.
3. Employee Engagement and Change Management
- Conduct needs assessments to understand employee concerns and impacts associated with relocation.
- Develop strategies to manage change and mitigate any potential disruptions to employee morale and productivity.
- Implement relocation support initiatives (e.g., site visits, FAQs, and workshops) to help employees adjust to the new location.
4. Compliance and Risk Management
- Ensure all project activities comply with organizational policies, employment laws, and safety regulations.
- Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, including potential HR challenges or compliance issues.
- Coordinate with HR to manage any employee relations issues that arise as a result of the relocation.
5. Project Execution and Monitoring
- Oversee the relocation’s physical and logistical aspects, including site setup, workspace arrangements, and resource allocation.
- Conduct regular check-ins with teams to ensure adherence to project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
- Use project management tools to track project progress, report any deviations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
6. Post-Relocation Evaluation and Continuous Improvement
- Conduct a post-move assessment to gather feedback, evaluate project outcomes, and identify improvement areas for future relocations.
- Report on project success metrics, budget adherence, and any lessons learned to improve future projects.
- Ensure a smooth transition for employees in the new location by supporting ongoing adjustments as needed.
7. Support to the local team of HR Business Partner when needed, this will cover among other topics
- Implementing of HR Process: performance management, learning and development, annual salary review, retention and engagement, etc.
- Delivering of HR solutions, champion global and local standards.
- Advising on employee and labor relations
Your background
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Labor Law, or related field.
- 8+ years of HR business partnering, HR generalist or similar experience
- Experience, preferably with exposure to large-scale relocations or similar projects, knowledge
- Strong Change Management skills & influencing.
- Strong knowledge of HR policies, processes and employee relations.
- Proven experience managing cross-functional projects with multiple stakeholders.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, prioritize tasks, and meet tight deadlines.
- Structured with excellent time management skills.
