POSITION SUMMARY:

 

The role of the Poduction Supervisor involves implementing the Daily Management System methodology in daily business operations. The primary objective is to achieve targets while upholding a safe and secure work environment for associates. This role encompasses coaching team members and ensuring strict adherence to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs), and other relevant regulations. By doing so, the Production Supervisor guarantees the production and distribution of products of the highest quality, quantity, and integrity.

 

Work Schedule: Sunday - Thursday (10pm - 6:30am) - Please note that flexibility with scheduled hours, including some weekends, will be required.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

 

  • Provides daily direction, motivation, and development for successful teams.
  • Participates in the recruitment and training of new associates.
  • Takes responsibility for all associate-related issues concerning direct reports.
  • Develops, coaches, and counsels team members
  • Ensures that direct reports meet expected standards in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Productivity, and Cost.
  • Completes evaluations for new associates at specific intervals (30-60-90 days).
  • Monitors associate performance, provides coaching, and offers counseling or corrective actions when necessary.
  • Ensures tasks are completed within designated deadlines.
  • Drafts and maintains performance documentation in accordance with company policies and procedures.
  • Ensures adherence to safety policies and practices, fostering a culture of safety.
  • Implements procedural and policy changes to enhance department performance.
  • Works effectively in a multitask environment and consistently supports ongoing initiatives.
  • Monitors productivity to ensure daily targets for efficiency, cost, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) are met.
  • Plans work schedules and manages overtime, maintaining accurate attendance records.
  • Maintains and updates all relevant records and systems.
  • Files appropriate reports in accordance with company policies and practices (e.g., accident reports, probation reports).
  • Promotes a teamwork-oriented environment.
  • Collaborates with day-to-day activities to support process improvements.

 

EXPERIENCE & EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS:

 

  • Bachelor's degree or minimum of 3+ years of experience in production/manufacturing operations in lieu of degree.
  • 2-3 years of previous lead/supervision experience preferred
  • Knowledge of cGMPs. Preferred experience in food/beverage, dietary supplement, or pharmaceutical industries.
  • Strongly preferred experience in Solid Dosage.
  • Experience with manufacturing equipment setup, troubleshooting, and reduction of downtime.

  • Lean, Six Sigma, TPM, TQM, and Team-Based Organization (e.g., HPO) experience strongly preferred.
  • Must be detail-oriented and organized.
  • Must be flexible in adapting to changing priorities.
  • Basic computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Suites and SAP, are preferred.
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus.
  • Must possess fluency in reading, writing, and speaking English.
