The Senior Technician – Security, supports the Special Access Program (SAP) by providing guidance and interfacing with employees to ensure their paperwork is accurate and complete; as well as customer requirements involving personnel security actions for reporting required information including adverse information, personnel status changes, foreign contacts and foreign travel. 

What You Will Do

• Provide customer service to candidates related to personnel security questions and actions.
• Maintenance and update of Personnel Security paperwork for program accesses.  Administer procedures outline in NISPOM, DoDM 5205.07 series, and personnel processing.
• Review and process requests for personnel clearances for access to classified programs.
• Upload Personnel Security Questionnaires (PSQ) from candidates to eSecurity database.
• Submit Personnel Security Clearance Justification on required candidates. 
• Implements federal security regulations that apply to company operations. 
• Protects employee's personal information in accordance with the Privacy Act and other applicable Government regulations. 

Qualifications You Must Have

• Typically requires AA/AS degree (or other 2-year post high school training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant experience
• The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance.

Qualifications We Prefer

• Experience with all Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.)
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills
• Prior CPSO experience
• Organized self-starter capable of identifying priorities and multi-tasking, willing to work extended hours and travel on company business
• Experience in the Special Programs environment
• Industrial Security certificates

The salary range for this role is 37,000 USD - 83,000 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.

Payments under these annual programs are not guaranteed and are dependent upon a variety of factors including, but not limited to, individual performance, business unit performance, and/or the company’s performance.
