Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS) sector is seeking a Mission Command Doctrinal Training Team (DTT) Manager 1 to join our growing team of diverse professionals at Fort Indiantown Gap in Pennsylvania. The selected candidate will lead the team providing units with training before their exercise, training center rotation, and deployments at the Fort Indiantown Gap Mission Training Complex (MTC-FTIG).
This position is contingent upon contract award, budget, and customer approval.
Responsibilities:

Manages DTT of six warfighting functions (WFF) supported simultaneously and independently, deployable as a WFF-specific DTT or multi-function team based on specific unit-type training needs

Supports live and constructive Mission Command training

Maintains currency with doctrine published by United States Army Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC) and ensures Training Unit Commanders (TUCs) are provided with the latest training Operations Orders (OPORDs) and Scenarios

Maintains DTT flexibility in team member composition to provide modular training support requirements to low-density branches such as chemical, sustainment, aviation, engineers, fires, etc.

Works cooperatively with the TUCs to manipulate the OPORD or scenario to meet the unit’s needs and provide a realistic training event

Maintains familiarity with site-wide operations and acts as the deputy site lead when the site lead is not present or available
Basic Qualifications:
-
One of the following:
-
Bachelor’s degree with a minimum of 12 years of military or U.S. Department of Defense (DoD) experience
-
Master’s degree with a minimum of 10 years of military or U.S. DoD experience
-
Minimum of 5 years of experience in exercise planning using the Joint Event Life Cycle (JELC) process
-
Served as a staff primary at the Brigade or Division levels
-
Previous senior Army leadership experience with a training management background
-
Served as a Combat Arms, Combat Support, or Combat Service Support Officer with primary staff experience in at least one War Fighting Function at Battalion or higher.

CW2/Warrant Officer with battalion-level experience

One of the following:

Minimum of 6 years of combined staff experience within the specific Warfighting Function (or similar)

Minimum of 8 years of specialized MCTSP experience in this type of duty position

Recent experience working within the Army National Guard training support system, or a similar system.

Minimum of 2 years working with Warfighting Function area Army MISSION Command Information Systems
-
Must have an active U.S. DoD Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a U.S. DoD Top Secret / Sensitive Compartmented Information (TS/SCI) security clearance
-
Outstanding communication skills and ability to correspond and communicate with senior military leaders
-
Must be able to work on-site at Fort Indiantown Gap in Pennsylvania
-
Must be able to travel as needed (up to 10% of the time)
Preferred Qualifications:

Combat Training Center (CTC) experience

Previous Battalion or higher commander (or similar)
Salary Range: $74,600 - $112,000
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate’s experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.
