Function
Verifies and keeps records on incoming shipments by performing the following duties.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

• Sort all received packages
• Receive small parcel, freight parcel packages, purchase orders, and packing slips
• Counting quantities and verifying items on purchase orders and packing slips
• Checks shipments for damage, infestation, and production code dates.
• Unload inbound shipments safely
• Maintains inventory materials and supplies
• Other duties may be assigned

Essential Knowledge, Abilities and Skills
On-the-job training is provided.  Previous warehouse experience preferred.

Education and/or Experience

• High school diploma or general education degree (GED);  
• Knowledge of mathematics and grammar, including office requirement and business practices.
• Ability to read, write, and use basic mathematics and grammar.
• This job requires minor technical skills such as reading gauges or operating light equipment.
