Job Description
The Maintenance Technician is responsible for the repair and upkeep of equipment and facility. Activities include both planned and predictive maintenance and breakdown repair.
Shift: 6PM-6AM, 1-3-3 rotation
Starting rate: $30.69/hr plus $2/hr shift differential
Key Responsibilities:
- Troubleshooting and Repair: Diagnose and repair malfunctions in machinery, electrical systems, and building infrastructure. This includes mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems.
- Preventative Maintenance: Perform routine inspections and preventative maintenance on all equipment to minimize downtime and ensure optimal performance.
- Installation: Install new equipment and systems, including machinery, electrical wiring, and conduit.
- Continuous Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve quality.
- Safety and Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment in compliance with OSHA regulations.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts orders.
- Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to achieve department and site goals.
- Communication: Effectively communicate with engineers, production staff, and contractors.
- Problem Solving: Utilize strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and implement effective solutions.
- Facilities Maintenance: Perform general building maintenance tasks, such as painting, plumbing repairs, and groundskeeping.
Qualifications
Education and Experience:
- Trade school certification or Associate's degree in Industrial Maintenance preferred, but equivalent experience will be considered.
- At least 3 years of experience as a multi-craft maintenance technician in an industrial setting.
Technical Skills:
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
- Preferred: Extensive knowledge and experience with PLC systems, including programming and troubleshooting.
- Preferred: In-depth knowledge of electrical systems, including 3-phase power, control circuits, and various electrical devices.
- Knowledge of plant utility systems, industrial machine repair, and machine tool operation.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
- Experience using electrical testing equipment (ammeters, meggers, etc.).
- Thorough understanding of and adherence to safety procedures and OSHA regulations.

- Self-motivated and able to work independently.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Computer literacy.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
