    Position Overview

    We are looking for an experienced Software Development Manager (Application) to lead the charge on this mission. You have big ideas and strategies that encourage collaboration and creativity. This role is ideal for someone with startup mindset and real-world experience distilling value and goals into roadmaps and refined product backlogs. Most importantly, you will help us build better products that people love to use.

    You are the one who enjoys challenges and solving problems. You are comfortable managing team members, positioning our consulting offerings and setting expectations. You will increase success in a diverse team and operate in a matrix environment. You will oversee external customer projects from initiation through to completion. You will help define consulting strategies which maximize a customer's return on investment and accelerate adoption with our Autodesk solutions.

    We support hybrid working schedule.

    You will report into Director, Consulting Services.

    Main responsibilities

    • Oversee the development, deployment, monitoring, maintenance, documentation and support of high quality, reliable applications to meet our needs
    • Collaborate with the business to identify new our requirements and lead the technology team to deliver those requirements
    • Partner with the other application development teams to provide front to back solutions that benefit our customers
    • Have an oversight responsibility for the related Technologies teams in Enterprise Consulting
    • Bachelors/Master's Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
    • Experience with application development using the latest technology stack for a service-oriented architecture and understanding of data models with a view on application of these technologies
    • Experience communicating complex technical concepts to a variety of audiences
    • Efficient in defining and meeting Service level agreements to satisfy and meet project timelines, and critical spontaneous requests
    • Experience communicating milestones, and progress to internal and external partners; articulate;
    • Experience putting together and delivering both business and technical presentations
    • Excellent team building skills; lead by example
    • Excellent project management skills
    • Must be experienced at Project Risk Management (Identification, Tracking, prevention / handling)

    People Leadership

    • Lead a team of Developers (Front End, Backend), QA & Automation Developer
    • Manage measurable criteria for success and help to build organizational understanding
    • Create staffing plan to support our work demands and project deliverables

    Results Leadership

    • Oversee strategic roadmap with Global Delivery Hub to ensure the successful and broad adoption of Autodesk solutions
    • Build business plans in collaboration with senior management to align customer and Autodesk goals
    • Ensure the team delivers services to customers

    Thought Leadership

    • Allow team to establish and maintain excellent collaboration with the wider Enterprise Customer Success

    Technical Leadership

    • Maintain a competent level of technical expertise to work with team members and the broader Autodesk technical community
    • Stay informed about technology industry trends, solutions, standards and methodologies
    • Maintain awareness of relevant development efforts in other organizations within Autodesk. Calibrate project plans and execution
    • Engage with customers and Autodesk partners to stay on top of project requirements
    • Identify potential new product solutions that the market will embrace
    • Determine/champion use of common/inner source components vs. building duplicate functionality

    Personal Leadership

    • Coach the team in the acceptance and support of change

    Performance Management:

    • Manage team's performance to ensure successful project completion according to agreed upon goals by:

    o Encouraging communications with team members for status updates and issue reporting

    o Solving technical issues

    • Apply well rounded judgment decisions by:

    o Considering trade-offs and risk mitigation options

    o Identifying and removing blockers to ensure delivery of project

    o Working with important partners to make project plan course corrections

    Minimum Qualifications

    • 12+ years of technical leadership experience in technology ideally in Financial Services out of which 8 + years product management experience with 5 + years of experience on software or developer platforms
    • Experience managing delivery of at least 1 hardware/software product/service
    • Experience managing multiple ongoing programs simultaneously
    • Collaboration and collaboration experience
    • Experience in Scrum, Kanban, and Scaled Agile Frameworks
    • Experience in plan and prioritize product feature backlog and development for the product
    • Experience in develop detailed product feature specifications and ensure they're understood by the agile teams
