Hitachi Energy is currently looking for a Production Manager- Power Quality Panels for the High Voltage Business to join their team in Dodballapura Bengaluru India. This team seeks a skilled and motivated individual.

Mission Statement:
Project Engineering focuses on designing, communicating, and implementing an operational plan for completing an engineering-based project including Preparing designs, project controls and specifications, schedules, cost estimates, production, transportation, installation, testing and/or commissioning of new infrastructure, facilities, equipment, etc.
Monitoring progress and performance against the project plan; taking action to resolve operational problems and minimize delays. Identifying, developing, and gathering the resources necessary to complete the project.
May include preparing engineering standards, designs and work specifications; developing project schedules, budgets and forecasts; and selecting materials, equipment, project staff, and external contractors.
A Team Leader (M2) supervises professional level employees (typically entry or experienced level) and may also supervise some para-professional employees.
Responsibilities typically include Setting goals and objectives for team members for achievement of operational results.
Problems faced may be difficult but typically are not complex.
Ensures policies, practices and procedures are understood and followed by direct reports, customers, and stakeholders.
Your Responsibilities:
Ensures compliance with the Group's health, safety and environmental directives, as well as the application of regulations.
Drive in process quality of products in collaboration with in-process and supplier quality teams to ensure best in class quality of the final products. Should be able to manage the resolution of critical product complaints or issues together with relevant internal departments.
Drive planning & scheduling of production & testing at both at supplier end and inside factory to meet defined production plans agreed upon in the S&OP meetings.
Responsible for driving cost performance in factory to deliver gross margins in line with order FCM of panels.
Interact with various vendors and suppliers for subcomponent and fabrication follow ups, planning and execution of Panels, Solutions product integration. Visiting integration vendors and sub suppliers at regular intervals to prioritize work schedule of each project to complete within timelines.
Interacts with customer / inspector during final customer inspections and factory acceptance tests, liaising with key stake holders for getting inspections cleared.
Organizes and allocates resources to meet production goals, responding to resource issues as needed. Ensure (with the support of HR) that the department is properly organized & staffed. Should be able to guide, motivate and develop a strong team.
Lead capacity planning and resource optimization for the particular product line.
Should be able to identify deficiencies in the production area or value stream process, proposes improvement activities and supervises the implementation of actions to improve performance.
Collaborate with continuous improvement team to integrate new processes or improvements in processes. Execute plans to reduce non-value-added costs, align to satisfy customers by delivering products on time with high factory performance, and reducing product failure rates in the field.
Your Background
BE/BTech in Electrical / ECE / Mechanical engineering
Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in electrical equipment manufacturing industry (Preferable in electrical panels).
Ability to operate and deliver results in a multi-cultural environment.
Preferable to have knowledge of high/medium voltage components / equipment
Preferable to have proficiency in SAP ERP
Proficiency in both spoken & written English language is required
