Global TTS Sanctions Data & Business Intelligence unit is part of Global Treasury and Trade Solutions (TTS) Sanctions Operations. Business Intelligence unit collects and processes data relating to sanctions match dispositioning process in TTS. Regular data analysis, assessing opportunities for optimizations or supporting controlling tools (e.g., through big data) are only some examples of the efforts undertaken by the unit. Our goal is to provide data and insights that will support better-informed decisions across all Business Lines (Commercial Cards, Onboarding, Payments & Receivables, Trade).

About the opportunity

We are looking for a skilled leader with a proven track record, and an appropriate experience on data analysis (BI), sanctions, and payments background.

Your key responsibility will be to manage and coach a team of professionals servicing data analytics and insights for all TTS Business Lines throughout the world, strengthen our data and BI protocols and influence the change! As a manager you will:

  • Oversee and organize a team’s work and provide feedback and help people improve and grow
  • Set goals and drive the overall roadmap for the BI team
  • Ensure the BI strategy and agenda is delivered

You will be delivering results independently as well as together with colleagues from our global network of TTS units on a scope of tasks, including:

  • Leading on reporting, analytics and data exploration and recommending improvements
  • Preparing one-pagers, decks and power point presentations in a structured and concise way
  • Building, maintaining, and communicating detailed reporting, dashboards and analysis on key business metrics and challenges
  • Translating complex analytics tasks into easily digestible information to guide data-based decisions with various stakeholders
  • Contributing to develop consistent methodologies for data analysis, automating the repeatable requests and tasks and drive process efficiency

You will also lead a stream focused on optimization of our screening process and outcomes, including:

  • Conditional rules creation and monitoring (closely partnering with Compliance)
  • Creating risk-balanced pattern optimization requests (low quality patterns) as well as exploring other opportunities towards data- and evidence-based proposals for optimizing the match dispositioning process

Qualifications:

  • Strong leadership and decision making abilities
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in managing people
  • Experience in sanctions and/or payments operations
  • Comfortable with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel. Able to perform complex tasks involving datasets and statistics
  • Fluent English spoken and written
  • Knowledge of payments (SWIFT, MT structure) would be an asset
  • Ability to work under time pressure and to solve problems
  • Knowledge of agile tactics and methodology would be an asset
