As part of the Strategy & Technology (S&T) team, the Strategic Intelligence Group (SIG) will play a role in developing a platform to provide actionable insights to firm leaders by leveraging both internal data and external market intelligence to support strategic decisions-making processes. We are seeking a Senior Manager to lead the integration and evolution of our capabilities to have significant impact on our organization. This role includes direct interaction with Senior Partners and Firm Leadership.

Work You'll Do
- Next-Gen Sensing Intelligence Platform: Design and build the firm's Next-Gen Sensing & Intelligence Platform. Reimaging business processes with a view to break existing constraints and injecting new approaches and thinking. Leading incubation of new technologies, approaches, and tools in the context of solving specific Business problems.
- Strategic Sensing: Continuously monitor and analyze internal data, industry trends, and competitive intelligence to identify emerging opportunities, risks, and shifts in the marketplace (eventually automate).
- Insight Development: Utilize a range of internal resources and external tools (e.g., market reports, industry publications, and competitive analysis) to gather intelligence and develop strategic recommendations for firm leadership (e.g., the what, the so-what, the now what).
- Stakeholder Collaboration: Partner with key stakeholders across the firm, including S&T leaders, to understand their strategic priorities and provide relevant insights to support decision-making.
The successful candidate will have and/or be able to:
- Collaborate and build relationships with Deloitte business leaders and enabling function leads
- Build/maintain/manage relationships with domain SMEs
- Lead points of view on new technologies, tools, and approaches
- Manage teams of 5-10 professionals (direct and indirect) and foster a positive work environment
- Take responsibility for developing the careers of junior team members
- Develop high degree of trust with key internal client base
- Applying creative thinking to produce breakthrough insights and recommendations
- Develop written communications and presentations to executives
- Superior project management and time management skills and experience managing a multi-disciplinary team. Able to manage several projects simultaneously and autonomously, as well as prioritize as necessary.
- A critical and creative thinker but also execute on the details; outstanding analytical, research and presentation skills; exceptionally strong power-point skills.
- Track record of leading and advising senior leaders on transformation programs
- Strong interpersonal and team building skills. Able to foster a cohesive and effective work environment.
- High degree of self-confidence, poise, maturity, discretion, diplomacy, and empathy.
The Team
This role sits within the US Strategy & Technology team and will provide exposure to a wide range of projects working across the firm's four businesses (i.e., Audit, Advisory, Consulting and Tax) and Enabling Areas.
Qualifications
Required:
- 15 or more years' experience providing strategic insights and recommendations for developing corporate strategies and providing senior leaders with actionable insights based on technology trends, competitive analysis, and regional and global political landscapes
- 10 or more years' experience with a top-tier consulting firm in strategy, or managerial experience within corporate or business unit strategy function or in a product company
- Prior experience leveraging emerging technologies to solve business problems
- Limited travel (up to 10% of travel may be necessary for the role)
- Limited immigration sponsorship may be available.
Preferred:
- Prior experience managing/coaching a small team
- Prior experience driving and owning workstreams for projects/programs with multiple stakeholders.
- Prior experience in management consulting or corporate/business unit strategy function across several aspects of strategy (e.g., analyzing technology trends, business and operating model design, quantitative models to support business cases)
- Prior experience with storyboarding and messaging for different stakeholder groups
- Prior experience with quantitative visualization tools
