Competitive Intelligence Analyst
We are seeking a driven and detail-oriented Junior Data Analyst to join our Competitive Intelligence team within the dynamic Travel Tech industry. As part of the Data Operations team, you'll play a critical role in gathering, analyzing, and leveraging competitive data to drive our lodging supply strategies. As an Analyst in our industry-leading Competitive Intelligence team, you'll contribute directly to the expansion of our lodging supply, actively supporting the acquisition of new business partners. What you'll do:
- Create information flows to support business execution
- Drive data collection, scheduling, and build quality control monitoring to create and enrich datasets of lodging supply.
- Monitor supply acquisition and ensure data quality of leads supplied to sales acquisition teams.
- Be creative and innovate to improve and enrich lodging supply datasets .
- Fulfill ad-hoc requests for data and analysis.
- Solve problems and communicate solutions effectively to diverse stakeholder groups
- Partner with internal group of customers to support them and understand their business needs:
- Establish trust and a collaborative working relationship.
- Provide a high level of daily customer service as the team's primary liaison to a large (across many countries) group of customers.
- Partner with internal data teams to identify and resolve data integrity issues.
Who you are:
- Top-class eye for business, combined with a problem-solver mindset and attention to detail.
- High level of intellectual curiosity and focus on delivering value.
- Excellent understanding of how to effectively visualize highly complex data.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Technically adept with a strong bias to action
- Advanced SQL skills are a must - proficiency in querying, analyzing, and managing data through SQL is critical to this role
- Intermediate knowledge of Python (or similar programming languages like R) is recommended.
- Strong system modeling skills (e.g., UML) are highly recommended.
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI) is preferred.
- Bachelor's degree is required (MBA or other advanced degree is preferred) in a numerical field (Business, Economics, Statistics, or Computer Science).
- Any other qualification (e.g., program management) is a plus.
