Aligned to the Geo People Partner Team, this role will elevate the people leader experience at Expedia Group. You’ll work closely with a cohort of people leaders from front-line contact centre managers to Directors in Product and Technology teams. You will contribute to our employee experience by providing regional expertise while supporting employee relations, performance management and coaching and influencing senior leaders.
Note: Expedia follows a hybrid model with flexible hours, requiring availability until 10 PM on at least two days per week to support key stakeholders.
In this role, you will:
- Provide advise and support to People Team and business leaders on a wide range of employee relations and individual employment matters that require specialist employment advice, including but not limited to misconduct, employment grievances/disputes and under performance
- Coach leaders on performance management topics and formally address underperformance across the organization
- Act as the central point of contact for employee relation issues for assigned business areas; ensures individual employee problems are heard, issues are addressed, and employees are treated fairly
- Provide support on any business or organization wide change, reorganization and restructuring activities
- Interpret and advise on local employment law, workplace policies and procedures around employee issues and needs. When needed, is engaged in creating or adapting existing policies
- Partner with labor law compliance partners supports meeting compliance requirements (e.g., reporting mandates, compliance requirements). As needed support visits from Government authorities to ensure labor law compliance.
- Support the team to deliver on any Site Engagement & Vibrancy initiatives that may include work on engagement surveys, employee retention, inclusion and diversity, new hire onboarding, hybrid work policies and other similar initiatives.
- Support emergency preparedness and site response-work with cross functional stakeholders to ensure a coordinated crisis response & address any Health and Safety matters
- Utilise data and analytics to identify trends and insights, driving proactive solutions to mitigate risk and improve employee experience
- Partner with other People Team COEs on Benefits and Rewards, Learning and Talent, or Talent Acquisition initiatives that impact employee experience.
Experience and Qualifications:
- A minimum of 3+ years of experience for a Master’s degree or 5+ years of experience for a Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources generalist experience or ER experience within a large Corporate environment, preferably in Operations/Contact Center environment.
- Experience in Employee Relations function, including investigations, performance case management, legal case management, demonstrated expertise in India employment law practices and labor relations requirements
- Leader coaching and influencing
- Understanding of metric reporting and basic trend analysis
- Project management skills
- Communication & presentation skills
- Experience with HR data and case management tools such as ServiceNow, Workday preferred.
